If Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered is crashing on PC, first update the game through your storefront and identify which of the three games and which in-game action triggers the crash. Aspyr’s August 13, 2025 Patch 2 notes list several addressed crashes in Tomb Raider VI, but they do not diagnose every PC crash or guarantee that an individual issue is fixed. What Patch 2 says it fixed
Aspyr’s Patch 2 changelog, dated August 13, 2025, lists these crash fixes for Tomb Raider VI: The Angel of Darkness:
- A crash after a cutscene in Galleries Under Siege.
- A crash when exiting from The Vault of Trophies.
- A crash after Lara is killed by Cabal Commandos in HD mode in Galleries Under Siege.
- A crash after changing outfits in Photo Mode during the Eckhardt’s Lab boss fight.
- One-time crashes during specified level transitions.
These are specific issues recorded in the changelog, not a general explanation for crashes elsewhere in the collection. If your trigger matches one of them, make sure your installed game has received the update; the notes alone cannot establish whether your current build or reproduction is affected.
Red Alert! save-loading issue: console-only note
Patch 2 also lists a fix for a crash when loading a Red Alert! save in Tomb Raider V: Chronicles, but Aspyr specifies that this applies to PS4 and PS5. It is not evidence of a PC fix. Aspyr’s separate Patch 1 note about crashes while playing the PS4 version on PS5 is likewise limited to that console setup. See the Patch 1 notes.

How to narrow down a PC crash
- Update the game. Use the update function in the storefront where you own it, then check that the installed version is current there.
- Pin down the trigger. Note whether the crash happens in The Last Revelation, Chronicles, or The Angel of Darkness, and record the level, action, and timing—for example, after a cutscene, while exiting, during Photo Mode, or at a level transition.
- Compare it with the documented cases. Check the Patch 2 list above. A similar trigger is a useful match to report, but is not proof that your crash has the same cause.
- Contact Aspyr if it persists or differs. Include the game title within the collection, storefront, level and exact action, PC specifications, whether the game is updated, and what happens when it crashes. Steam’s support page lists Aspyr’s technical support website and [email protected].
Check the published PC requirements
Steam lists the following Windows requirements for the collection. They are a compatibility baseline to compare against, not proof that hardware is causing a crash or a guarantee of stability.

What the later hotfix changed
Aspyr’s September 19, 2025 hotfix notice says it removed unauthorized AI voiceover content while retaining improvements from the previous update. That announcement is not described as a crash fix. Read Aspyr’s hotfix notice.

Use Aspyr support for a crash that continues after updating, does not match a listed Patch 2 case, or occurs in one of the other games without a relevant documented PC fix. A concise report with the exact trigger and your system details gives support the context to distinguish your issue from the specific changelog items. Steam lists Aspyr as publisher and directs technical issues to its support channels.
