Her introductory Fable, The Steelsinger, links her story to the Moonsteel Helm of the legendary smith Kane. In the current Preludes 16 update, the official game site also associates her with weapon upgrades and Tempers.
Who is Tuvalkane in Soulframe?
Tuvalkane is an Ancestor affiliated with the Steelsingers Guild. The Soulframe Italia community wiki describes her as the successor to Kane, a legendary smith under whose tutelage she worked. Its character entry portrays her as a capable smith who is hard on herself and suggests that helping her may restore her pride in Steelsinging.
The character’s family connections are not consistently described across the community references: one calls Kane her grandfather, while the synopsis for her Fable calls him her uncle. It is safer to describe Kane as her predecessor and mentor unless the live game’s codex clarifies the relationship.
The wiki reproduces Tuvalkane’s line, “I never wore Kane’s Moonsteel Helm… and never will I deserve to.” It also attributes the forge concept-reveal line “Lost blades of old, reforged anew. Struck ‘gainst Kane’s helm to ring a chord true.” to her. These are in-game lines as transcribed by the community wiki.

How do you encounter and unlock Tuvalkane?
Her introduction is the Fable The Steelsinger. According to the community walkthrough, the Sinecure excavate a Moonsteel helm at Oro’s Well. The Envoy recovers it, carries it toward a nearby forge through ambushes, and meets Tuvalkane there. The two join together, allowing her to travel to the Nightfold, where speaking with her opens access to equipment construction.
The walkthrough lists Warsongs as a prerequisite and says the Fable is not replayable. Those details come from a community wiki, and Soulframe remains in pre-alpha development; check the quest objectives and prerequisites shown in your current game version rather than relying on older instructions.

What does Tuvalkane do at the forge?
Tuvalkane is the player’s crafting and weapon-reforging contact in the Nightfold. These are separate uses of the forge:
- Crafting: Create equipment using its recipe, required fragments and other materials, Dracs, and Joinery. The community Crafting guide describes these as recipe inputs; exact requirements depend on the item and may change between builds.
- Reforging: Change a weapon’s Joinery effect using materials, Dracs, and a Joinery. This changes a weapon’s configuration rather than creating a new piece of equipment.
For Preludes 16, the official update page says: “Upgrade your Weapons and select their Tempers with Tuvalkane the Steelsinger to create your ideal loadout.” That update-specific description connects Tuvalkane with weapon upgrades and Temper selection. It should not be treated as proof that every older community-wiki recipe or rank threshold still applies unchanged.

Which details may change between Soulframe builds?
Soulframe’s official site describes Preludes as the game’s current pre-alpha phase and says access is through an invitation queue. Quest wording, access conditions, crafting inputs, and forge features are therefore version-sensitive. For the most reliable instructions, compare community walkthroughs with the objectives and forge options visible in your current build.
