Capcom and Game Freak followed in the reported overall ordering. This was a sentiment ranking of selected tweets—not a survey of gamers or the public—and it describes 2021, not current opinion.
What the study ranked
RAVE Reviews analyzed Twitter posts mentioning selected brands and compared their sentiment. In the gaming-company ordering reported by Tech Times, Ubisoft ranked first, Capcom second and Game Freak third. Reports say Ubisoft came first in 23 countries. That figure counts country-level first-place rankings; it does not mean that the populations of 23 countries were surveyed.
TechSpot also reports that Game Freak led the ranking in the United States, Australia and Canada. Tech Times says the study assigned Game Freak a 100% negative-tweet rating in Canada. That percentage refers only to the tweets counted in the study’s Canada results, not to all Canadian Twitter users, players or residents.
How to read the rankings and figures
The reported figures measure different things and should not be treated as interchangeable:

- Overall ordering: Ubisoft, Capcom and Game Freak were reported in that order among the named gaming companies. The available reports do not provide a complete set of comparable country-by-country percentages for all three.
How the Twitter sentiment analysis worked
Tech Times and WN Hub report that the analysis used SentiStrength to assess positive and negative sentiment in posts mentioning brands. The reported “hate rate” was the percentage of negative tweets. The company list was reportedly informed by Google search volume, so the results reflect the study’s selection and scoring approach rather than a census of game publishers or a direct measure of customer satisfaction.
TechSpot says the broader brand analysis covered more than one million brand-related tweets. That total applies to the overall analysis; it is not a reported count for gaming companies alone.

What the findings cannot establish
Twitter users choose whether to post, and the people who discuss a company online are not necessarily representative of its players or customers. The reported rankings therefore show sentiment among the tweets included in this particular analysis, not what gamers generally—or people in a country as a whole—think about Ubisoft, Capcom or Game Freak.
The available coverage does not establish the collection dates, tweet totals for each gaming brand or country, treatment of duplicate or automated accounts, or full inclusion criteria. Without those details and the underlying data, the reported ranking cannot be independently reproduced from the information provided by the coverage.

The finding is from 2021. It should be cited as a result of RAVE Reviews’ analysis of selected Twitter posts from that period, not presented as a current ranking of gaming companies or current player sentiment.
