No dedicated Ubisoft Forward showcase took place in 2025. Ubisoft confirmed the decision in a statement reported by GameSpot on June 4, 2025, and said it was exploring other opportunities to share updates on its games.
Was Ubisoft Forward happening in 2025?
No. Ubisoft did not hold its dedicated Ubisoft Forward showcase in 2025. GameSpot reported that the series began in 2020, making 2025 the first year since its launch without a showcase. GameSpot’s June 4 report quoted a Ubisoft representative saying: “We are always eager to connect with our players and showcase our games,” and that the company was “continuing to explore opportunities to share updates.”
Where else was Ubisoft expected to appear?
GameSpot reported that Ubisoft planned to have a presence at Summer Game Fest and the PC Gaming Show. Those were appearances at third-party events, not a replacement Ubisoft Forward or confirmation of a single, dedicated Ubisoft presentation. The report did not specify the timing or exact content of Ubisoft’s updates at those events.
Why did Ubisoft skip the showcase?
Ubisoft’s reported statement did not give a specific reason for skipping the 2025 event. The company’s January 9, 2025 strategic update discusses cost reductions and selective investment, but does not link those measures to the showcase decision. It would be unsupported to present cost-cutting as the reason.

Does this mean Ubisoft Forward is over?
No permanent cancellation was announced in the reported statement. Ubisoft said it was exploring opportunities to share updates and would provide more information later. That leaves the future of the showcase unresolved: the confirmed decision was not to hold it in 2025, not to discontinue it indefinitely.
What is Ubisoft Forward?
Ubisoft Forward is the company’s own showcase for news and updates about its games. For context, Ubisoft’s official 2024 viewing guide listed Ubisoft.com/Forward, Ubisoft Connect, Twitch, and YouTube as ways to watch that year’s event. Those details describe the 2024 showcase and do not indicate that a 2025 broadcast took place.
