What is the Version 1.5 Laevatain build?
Endfield Build’s Version 1.5 page, updated September 20, 2026, identifies Laevatain as a 6-star Heat Striker who uses a sword and recommends Forgeborn Scathe with Hot Work. Icy Veins says its guide was reviewed for Version 1.5 on September 29, 2026. Treat these as patch-specific reference recommendations rather than a universal requirement.
Forgeborn Scathe is an in-game 6-star sword. Its status as a featured weapon is verified by Gryphline’s official Arsenal Issue notices, but a past rate-up does not establish that it is available now. Check the in-game Arsenal screen before planning a pull.
How Laevatain’s damage loop works
Laevatain’s Heat kit revolves around Melting Flame stacks and Combustion. Icy Veins describes her Battle Skill as summoning a Magma Fragment and triggering temporary Combustion over an area. At four Melting Flame stacks, using the Battle Skill again triggers forced Combustion. Combustion interactions also help restore Ultimate energy, connecting her damage sequence to how often she can use her Ultimate.

The exact timing depends on teammate Heat Infliction and resource availability. If the team cannot support the loop consistently, prioritize a setup that gives you more dependable Ultimate access rather than forcing a damage configuration that leaves the Ultimate unavailable.
Which gear configuration should you use?
Prydwen’s guide presents a tradeoff between damage per rotation and Ultimate frequency, not a controlled performance comparison. The right choice depends on how much energy support your rotation provides, along with your weapon, Potential level, and equipment artificing.

These configurations reflect guide recommendations, not guaranteed outcomes for every account. Compare them by rotation damage, Ultimate frequency, required investment, and how easy the sequence is to execute with your roster.
Which skills should you level first?
The guides do not give a single skill order that fits every build. Icy Veins prioritizes Ultimate-enhanced basic attacks before other investment. Mobalytics recommends leveling the Battle Skill after that, with Basic Attacks and Combo Skills left until later. Both approaches put the Ultimate and Battle Skill near the center of her damage plan, but the order should follow the rotation you actually use.

- Prioritize Ultimate-enhanced basic attacks if your build and rotation make those attacks a major damage window, following Icy Veins’ order.
- Invest in the Battle Skill when its Combustion triggers are central to your rotation; Mobalytics places it after the Ultimate-enhanced basic attacks.
- Defer Basic Attack and Combo Skill levels if following Mobalytics’ stated priority, unless your own rotation or build makes them a more immediate need.
How should you choose Laevatain’s teammates?
The available Version 1.5 build guidance does not establish one best team for every roster, investment level, and encounter. Instead, assess how each candidate supports the rotation:
- Heat Infliction: Heat application from teammates supports the Melting Flame loop.
- Resource generation: Team Battle Skills or other available resources can help refill the Ultimate, particularly with the damage-focused Hot Work setup.
- Sustain: Account for the encounter’s need for survival rather than treating damage support as the only team requirement.
- Buffs: Compare available buffs against the damage windows and skills your build actually uses.
Choose teammates based on the gaps in your roster and rotation; a team that supplies Heat and energy may be more useful to your account than a nominally stronger damage lineup that cannot sustain Laevatain’s cycle.

Is Forgeborn Scathe available now?
Gryphline’s official May 2026 notice listed Forgeborn Scathe as the rate-up 6-star weapon in the Smelting Fire Issue. The notice explains that Arsenal Issues use Arsenal Tickets, banner-specific rewards reset when an issue ends, and some Arsenal Exchange stock changes. That confirms historical availability, not its status on October 8, 2026. Check the current in-game Arsenal and Exchange screens before spending tickets or planning around the weapon.
