If COD Mobile opens a new or unfamiliar player profile, the Facebook account active in your phone’s app or browser may not be the one previously linked to your game profile. If login fails outright, troubleshoot Facebook account access separately from COD Mobile’s connection or app problems; there is no single confirmed fix for every sign-in error.
Does Facebook login fail, or does it open the wrong profile?
These are different problems and call for different checks. A successful Facebook sign-in that leads to an unfamiliar COD Mobile ID points first to the Facebook identity being used. An error, endless loading, or a game that will not open does not by itself establish that the Facebook account is wrong.

If COD Mobile opens a different or new player ID
Garena’s guidance for this specific symptom says the device may be authenticating through another Facebook account, including a secondary account. Sign out of Facebook in the Facebook app and in the browsers on the device, then try COD Mobile again and enter the exact Facebook account previously linked to the intended player profile. Garena: “Log in with the correct Facebook. Why is it a different ID?”
This check applies when Facebook login succeeds but produces the wrong profile. It does not explain every authorization error. If the original Facebook identity is inaccessible, address access to that Facebook account before assuming the COD Mobile profile can be recovered through another login.

If Facebook login fails or the game cannot be accessed
Check the Facebook account itself
If Facebook appears hacked or taken over, Activision directs players to Facebook’s hacked-account help. Recover or secure the Facebook account through Facebook’s account-security process rather than treating a compromised social account as an ordinary game connection issue. Activision: “Can I restore an account?”
Check whether COD Mobile launches and connects
Activision’s troubleshooting page distinguishes app access and connection problems from account linking. For a game that will not launch, freezes, crashes, or shows a black screen, test the platform-appropriate steps below one at a time. For connection trouble or lag, the game requires a network connection; Activision recommends strong Wi-Fi and suggests restarting the router if you can access it. Restarting the device can also refresh the connection. These steps address app or network symptoms, not proof of a Facebook authentication fault. - Android: restart the device, update COD Mobile, update Android, and clear the app cache. Test after each step.
- iOS: restart the device, update COD Mobile and iOS, and, if needed, delete and reinstall the game. Activision says to log in with the same account to reinstate progress and game data.
Do not make reinstalling the first step if you are unsure which account holds your progress. Activision lists Android 6.0 or later with at least 2 GB RAM, and iOS 15.0 or later with at least 2 GB RAM, as compatibility requirements on its page dated February 25, 2026. Those requirements are not a diagnosis of Facebook sign-in failure.
Link an Activision account if you can still access the correct profile
If the intended COD Mobile profile is still accessible through Facebook or another supported social login, Activision documents an in-game route to link an Activision account. Follow the sequence carefully and choose the Activision account you actually intend to use.

- Open COD Mobile and go to Settings.
- Tap the linked-account button.
- Choose Call of Duty and sign in through the browser.
- After the game relaunches, sign in using the Call of Duty icon.
Activision warns that progress is tied to the original account linked, that this linking flow does not let you unlink it, and that progress will not transfer to a different Activision account if you later sign in with different credentials. Read the account choice carefully before confirming. Activision: “How do I link my Activision account in-game?”
Know what account recovery can—and cannot—do
Activision says Guest-account stats and progression are stored locally and cannot be recovered after changing devices. Progress on an Activision account is stored on that account and can be accessed on any device by signing in to it. Its account-restoration route investigates unauthorized activity on Activision accounts, and Activision says it can assist only with Activision accounts linked to COD Mobile.

That policy does not promise recovery of a COD Mobile profile linked only to a Facebook account that you can no longer access. If Facebook is compromised, use Facebook’s recovery route; if an Activision account linked to COD Mobile was compromised, consult Activision’s restoration information. When seeking help, identify whether Facebook opens successfully, whether the game reaches the login screen, and whether login fails or opens the wrong ID. Include the exact error text, your region or game edition, your device platform and OS version, and whether you can still open the Facebook account. Activision’s support hub is the appropriate place to check current support options; the available guidance does not establish a current global outage or one universal fix for authorization errors.
