What kind of game is Anno 117: Pax Romana?
It is a city-building strategy game set in the Roman Empire. You play as a governor, developing a province while making choices that affect its economy, people, culture, and relationship with Rome. The game offers a story-driven campaign with a choice of protagonist, Marcus or Marcia, as well as a customizable sandbox mode.
Choose a province and its path
Players can begin in Latium or Albion, each with its own culture and deities. In Albion, the governor must weigh adopting Celtic traditions against asserting Roman ambitions. More broadly, the decisions include how to meet citizens’ needs, what role religion should play, and whether to prioritize peace, economic growth, or dominance. Ubisoft’s launch announcement also describes aqueducts, naval battles, and land battles staged in a coliseum.

What platforms is Anno 117 on?
Ubisoft’s November 13, 2025 launch announcement lists the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, GeForce Now, and Blacknut.
