How do I get more accessory slots in Palworld?
- Collect Dog Coins. The AllThingsHow guide recommends hunting Mimogs, defeating human enemies, searching Scrap Piles and regular chests, and taking on the Oil Rig Stronghold. It does not provide verified drop rates or establish a fastest method.
- Find a Medal Merchant. The guide names Marsh Island Church Ruins as one merchant location; it is not the only location.
- Buy the third-slot upgrade. Open the merchant’s Buy menu and purchase the Mysterious Accessory Box. The guide lists its cost as 100 Dog Coins.
- Buy the fourth-slot upgrade. Return with 1,000 Dog Coins and purchase the Box of Mystery Accessories, according to the guide. The listed cost for both boxes is 1,100 Dog Coins total.
- Check your equipment screen. The guide says the slot is added when the box is purchased, with no separate activation step.
The prices above are those reported by the AllThingsHow guide, updated July 20, 2026. Pocketpair’s v1.0 release changelog says Medal Merchant Dog Coin exchange prices were reviewed and adjusted, but does not independently confirm these box prices. Check the Buy menu in your current game version before budgeting.
What changed about accessories in version 1.0?
The accessory overhaul is separate from expanding your capacity. Pocketpair’s July 10, 2026 v1.0 changelog says, “The method for obtaining accessories has been changed from acquiring them as physical items to crafting them from schematics.” It also says the +1/+2 accessory system was removed and existing +0 accessories were strengthened to the equivalent of +2.
Those changes concern how accessories are obtained and their former upgrade tiers; they do not replace the Medal Merchant boxes used to add slots. Accessory equipment unlocks and the number of accessories you can equip are different systems. The official technology ID list includes gear such as Double Jump Boots, Triple Jump Boots, Anti-Gravity Belt, and Ring of Mercy, but does not list a slot-expansion technology.

Can a mod add more slots?
On PC, the Nexus Mods listing for More Accessory Slots describes configurable virtual slots, up to 32 additional slots, while accessories remain in carried inventory. This is a third-party download, not an official unlock.
