Minecraft Education includes a Camera tool for taking screenshots and selfies, but the official instructions cited here do not confirm a crafting recipe or explain how to obtain one. You can use a Camera you already have to take an immediate snapshot, capture a close-up of an item, or set up a timed picture in the world.
Can you craft a Camera in Minecraft Education?
The available Minecraft Education Support instructions and the Camera, Portfolio, and Book & Quill tutorial explain how the Camera works, but do not provide a crafting recipe or a confirmed way to obtain one. So there is no verified ingredient list or crafting-grid pattern to follow based on these official materials.
Microsoft Learn lists the Bedrock item identifier minecraft:camera in its camera item reference, last updated September 7, 2023. That technical entry identifies an item; it does not establish an Education Edition recipe.
How to take pictures with the Camera
Use a held Camera for an immediate first-person picture or an item close-up. To take a picture from a set position, place a Camera in the world and activate it.

These controls and behaviors are documented in Minecraft Education Support’s Camera instructions. Any player in that world can use a placed Camera, so the support guide recommends having plenty available when using them for a lesson.

Pictures taken with the Camera are saved to the Portfolio. The Minecraft Education tutorial covers taking pictures and selfies, editing and exporting the Portfolio, and adding pictures with text to a Book & Quill. That makes the tools useful for documenting a build, recording observations, or showing project progress.
