In most Roblox experiences, hold the right mouse button and drag to rotate the camera on a computer. On a touch screen, tap and drag; with a gamepad, move the secondary thumbstick. Controls can differ if an experience changes or restricts its camera settings.
Rotate the camera on your device
Computer with a mouse
In Classic camera mode, hold the right mouse button and drag to look around. Roblox also documents the left and right arrow keys as camera-rotation inputs in third-person Classic mode. Roblox Support and the Creator Hub camera reference describe these controls.
Mobile or another touch device
Tap the screen and drag to rotate the view. Roblox’s camera reference lists this as the touch input.
Gamepad
Move the secondary thumbstick to rotate the camera around your character. The same general camera inputs apply in first-person, where the view is zoomed fully in. Roblox’s camera reference also notes that a visible GUI with a modal button can affect camera input.

Why the camera may behave differently
Roblox Support distinguishes two camera modes. In Classic, the camera stays in place until you adjust it manually. In Follow, the camera rotates along with your avatar as it moves left or right. If the experience provides Shift Lock Switch, pressing Shift toggles camera modes. Roblox Support’s settings guide explains these options.
If the usual input does nothing, the experience may have its camera mode locked or otherwise configured by its developer. Roblox also treats computer and touch-device camera settings separately, and a modal interface may affect input. The Creator Hub Player reference documents developer-configurable player settings.

Playing Roblox versus editing in Studio
These controls are for rotating the camera while playing an experience. Roblox Studio has separate viewport controls for editing: right-mouse dragging rotates the editor view, while the comma and period keys rotate it left and right.
