What official sources clarify about selected games
The Witcher IV was announced, not released
CD PROJEKT RED describes The Witcher IV as an upcoming single-player, open-world RPG made in-house with Unreal Engine 5. It is not among the names in the roundup’s 11-game table above, but it is a notable UE5 title associated with the period. The company’s June 3, 2025 announcement concerned a technology demonstration: it showed Ciri in Kovir and was run on PlayStation 5 at 60 frames per second. That demonstration was not a public game release, and its frame-rate claim is not a benchmark for the finished game. Epic Games’ presentation of the demonstration likewise documents a technology showcase, not a release date.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 has a dated storefront listing
The Epic Games Store listing for Monster Energy Supercross 25 identifies Unreal Engine 5, Milestone S.r.l. as developer and publisher, Windows as the platform, and April 10, 2025 as the release date. This is stronger, title-specific release evidence than a year-only roundup entry. The store page also provides minimum and recommended Windows requirements; system requirements can change and may vary by region.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds was announced for Spring Early Access
In a March 31, 2025 announcement, Jagex described RuneScape: Dragonwilds as a UE5-powered co-op survival crafting game and planned a Spring 2025 Early Access launch. That wording records the plan announced at the time; it does not by itself confirm when Early Access began. Jagex CEO Jon Bellamy said, “We’re so excited to finally give players a glimpse at the next entry in the RuneScape franchise today with RuneScape: Dragonwilds.”

How to read a 2025 release schedule now
A schedule and a release-status record answer different questions. Exact dates in the roundup are still attributed projections unless checked against a publisher, developer or storefront record; a month-only or year-only window is less precise still. This page does not establish final status for every title, and the roundup’s selection should not be treated as a comprehensive list of all UE5 releases from 2025.
