The announcement said purchases of in-game tokens were disabled immediately, while existing tokens could be spent in the in-game store before the servers went offline. There is, however, a conflicting later signal: Sharkmob’s status page listed matchmaking and game-server regions as operational on October 8, 2026. That status listing does not establish that players can launch and play a working match.
When did Bloodhunt shut down?
On October 27, 2025, Sharkmob announced that it had made the decision to close Bloodhunt’s servers on April 28, 2026. Its notice said the game would remain fully playable until that date, then no longer be available on PC or PlayStation 5. Sharkmob’s Steam announcement is the primary source for the planned date and player instructions.
Sharkmob attributed the decision to the player population, saying it had reached a level where keeping the servers running was no longer sustainable. The announcement did not provide a player-count figure.
Can you still play Bloodhunt after April 28, 2026?
Under the announced plan, no: once the servers closed, online play would end and the game would no longer be available on PC or PS5. Contemporary reports described the service as shut down after the announced date. But the available evidence contains a discrepancy: Sharkmob’s status page, observed on October 8, 2026, listed all systems as operational, including matchmaking and game-server regions. That listing conflicts with the announced closure and shutdown reporting; by itself, it does not confirm that a player can connect and complete a match. Current playability therefore cannot be established from those signals alone.

What happened to Bloodhunt tokens?
Sharkmob said token purchases were disabled when the shutdown notice was issued. The in-game store was to remain open until the servers went offline so players could spend tokens already on their accounts. Any tokens left after closure would no longer be usable.

The fuller text of Sharkmob’s notice, reproduced by VGChartz, said account and gameplay data would be deleted after closure in accordance with GDPR and/or equivalent requirements. That describes the stated plan; it does not independently verify that deletion has been completed.
