Availability varies by platform and region, so confirm each listing on the store you actually buy from before you act on it.

Details that need checking before you buy
- Hellraiser: Revival on PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S: the Steam listing and Xbox Wire’s Xbox release date both point to October 8. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S entries come from a third-party calendar rather than a platform store, so confirm them on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store.
- Neon Abyss 2: the October 8 Steam entry is an update. If you are new to the game, look for its original launch date on the store page instead of assuming October 8 is its debut.
- KINGDOM HEARTS Collection I-III: the cross-platform calendar lists a Switch 2 release on October 8, but Xbox Wire’s page uses a different listing date. Do not treat October 8 as a universal launch date; check the Nintendo eShop listing for your region.
- Invokyr: it is in early access, so the version you can buy is unfinished and its content may change before a full release.
- Gear.Club Unlimited 3: Xbox Wire lists it for October 8, but the sources do not establish whether a physical copy exists.
Releases, updates, and events on the same day
Not everything on a given day’s calendar is a new game. PC Gamer lists Arc Raiders: Frozen Trail as an update to an existing game and LudoNarraCon as an event. Both are relevant gaming news for October 8, but neither is a new game launch, so they are not counted in the table above.
How to check availability on your platform
- Steam: search the title, open its store page, and read the Release Date line. A page marked “Coming Soon” or showing a later date means the game is not out yet, whatever a calendar says.
- Xbox: search the title in the Microsoft Store on your Xbox console or on Windows. Confirm the page says the game is available now and that it is listed for your device type.
- PlayStation 5: search the title in the PlayStation Store and confirm the PS5 version and your account region.
- Nintendo Switch 2: search the Nintendo eShop for the Switch 2 edition, since a Switch 2 release may be listed separately from older Nintendo platforms.
- Region: compare the store region with your account region. Pricing and availability can differ between regions.
Scope of this list
This is a checked selection, not a complete worldwide schedule. The October 2026 calendar at upcoming.games lists 25 games across 10 release days; that count describes that calendar’s own listings, not the full October release count across the industry. Where a title appears here, its listing comes from the store or outlet named in the table.
