In its February 20, 2026 Ringside Report, 2K introduced MyRISE as a comeback story narrated by Paul Heyman. Rather than beginning as a newcomer, the player is The Archetype, returning to WWE after two years away. The story is available through Men’s and Women’s Division paths. 2K’s MyRISE reveal describes a choice-driven journey, but does not establish a numerical count of branches or endings.

How does the comeback story unfold?
The return is interrupted by a loss to one of Heyman’s champions: Bron Breakker or Jordynne Grace. 2K’s public summary names both possible opponents but does not specify which one belongs to each division, so that mapping should not be assumed.
From there, The Archetype attempts to rebuild. The announced story includes a return at the Performance Centre, a possible opportunity from Adam Pearce in NXT, and a high-stakes WrestleMania showdown. These are named story beats, not a published outline of every mission or the full sequence of events.

MyRISE also continues after the main stories are completed: the broader WWE 2K26 announcement says players can keep playing to earn additional unlockable content and achievements. Release and edition context
WWE 2K26 launched in 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Standard Edition’s announced release date was March 13, 2026; selected premium editions launched March 6, 2026. WWE 2K Support says the console Standard Edition was available physically, while the Steam version was digital only. Check the official edition FAQ for edition details.
The Attitude Era Edition includes a Superstar Mega-Boost granting 200 MySUPERSTAR attribute points for MyRISE. That is an edition bonus, not a stated requirement to access or finish the story. 2K’s MyRISE release notice also cautions that online or bonus features may require an internet connection, account registration, downloads, or online gameplay; paid subscriptions may be required for online console play. Those caveats apply to online or bonus services generally, not necessarily to the full MyRISE story.
