WWE 2K26 has more than 400 playable characters, according to 2K, which describes it as the largest roster in the franchise’s history. That is the publisher’s own figure. No independent, character-by-character count was available from the sources behind this article, so the names below are confirmed examples rather than a complete list. Base-game roster, edition packs and post-launch Ringside Pass content are separate things, and the sections below keep them apart.
How many characters does WWE 2K26 have?
2K’s launch messaging gives the number as over 400 playable characters and presents it as the biggest roster the series has offered. Treat that as an announced figure. 2K has not published a breakdown showing how the total splits between launch content, editions and later additions, so any claim about exactly how many wrestlers are available on a given day should be checked against the live official roster page.

What the roster count covers
The 400-plus figure should be read alongside three other kinds of content that affect what you can actually play:
- Base-game roster: the characters included with the launch game on each platform.
- Edition content: edition packs that come with the Standard, King of Kings, Attitude Era or Monday Night War purchase.
- Ringside Pass content: new Superstars and alternate Personas added through post-launch seasons, along with free-track and premium unlocks.
A roster article that treats all of these as one list will overstate what a buyer gets on day one.

Newcomers and gameplay examples at launch
2K’s gameplay reveal names Rey Fenix, Ricky Saints, Myles Borne and Chyna among the roster examples. These are useful as confirmed examples of what the game includes, but they do not establish the full launch lineup.

Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts, framed the release this way: “WWE 2K26 introduces several new community-requested match types and gameplay features. The team has put a lot of thought into refining the in-ring action and presentation, while also expanding creative options to allow players more freedom than ever before.”
Ringside Pass additions
The Ringside Pass adds characters after launch. The Season 3 announcement, which 2K published with the pass, is the most detailed example available. Because pass contents are tied to a specific season, list these as Season 3 content rather than folding them into the base roster.

How many seasons to expect
2K says six Ringside Pass seasons are planned across the year. The contents and timing of each season can change, so confirm the current season on the official Ringside Pass page before relying on any specific season claim.

The official support FAQ lists four editions. Only the Standard Edition is offered in physical form; the other three are digital only. 2K’s initial announcement set March 6, 2026 for the special editions and March 13, 2026 for the Standard Edition. Those were the launch dates, and they are now in the past.
