Start with the Buggy questline
Xbox Wire’s beginner guide, published July 29, 2025, names the questline that unlocks the Buggy as the early priority. The Buggy helps you get across the park, which makes it the most useful early mobility goal. The same guide recommends getting ready before you commit to it:

- Check your quest log for the current objective wording, because labels can differ between builds.
Prepare before a dangerous fight
The beginner guide lists three categories of preparation. It does not name specific armor pieces, weapon types, healing items, quantities, or crafting recipes, so check the crafting menus and inventory in your own build.
- Armor: wear protection before you move into unfamiliar or hostile areas.
- Strong weapons: bring something that can handle the enemies you meet on the questline, not only starter tools.
- Healing items: carry enough to recover between fights, since you cannot always retreat to base mid-encounter.
Check your update version first
Grounded 2 has changed substantially through updates. Any walkthrough, including this one, needs a version stamp. The official Grounded 2 site describes the following updates:
