If Warframe crashes or will not launch
Warframe Support’s Xbox instructions provide a cache-verification shortcut for crashes and launch failures. Make sure the game is not still running in the background before starting:
- Launch Warframe on Xbox.
- At the launcher, hold LB + RB + Y at the same time.
- When “VERIFYING DOWNLOAD CACHE” appears, release the buttons and let the check finish. Warframe Support says completion time depends on your internet speed.
Follow the Xbox button procedure rather than PC launcher instructions. Warframe’s separate “Update failed!” guide describes a standalone PC launcher and its menus; the available guidance does not establish that those menu steps apply on Xbox.
If Warframe will not update or connect
Warframe Support’s Basic Network Troubleshooting Guide covers Xbox as well as other platforms. Try the checks that match your symptoms:

- Check that network cables are connected and that your router or modem is powered.
- Restart the console and network equipment.
- Pause or reduce other devices’ downloads, uploads and streaming while troubleshooting.
- If you use Wi-Fi, reduce possible interference: move the console or router to improve the connection, and keep the router away from obstructions and nearby sources of interference.
Use Ethernet as a test, not a guaranteed repair
If possible, temporarily connect the Xbox to the router or modem with an Ethernet cable. If the connection behaves differently when wired, Wi-Fi interference or instability may be contributing. Ethernet does not verify or repair Warframe’s game files, and it cannot resolve every launch failure or a service outage.
What the update error guidance does—and does not—say
Warframe’s “Update failed!” support page lists possible causes including server load or issues, ISP or regional maintenance, local network conditions and game data. Its detailed cache instructions use PC standalone-launcher menus, not an Xbox interface. For Xbox, use the documented controller-button cache check for launch or crash problems, and the general network checks for connection or update symptoms.

When to contact Warframe Support
If the Xbox cache check and relevant network troubleshooting do not solve the problem, contact WARFRAME Support. Include your Xbox model, what happens when you launch or update, any error text, and the steps you have already tried so support can understand the issue. The official Xbox cache instructions do not recommend deleting saved data or provide a specific reinstall procedure for this problem, so avoid treating either as a documented fix.
