Walmart’s Black Friday Pokémon tin listings showed three Pokémon TCG tins, Iron Leaves, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt, at $17 each, against a displayed former price of $29.87. The price was seen on a Walmart listing checked in 2026, and it traces back to Walmart’s 2025 Black Friday promotion. Treat it as a listing to verify on the day you shop, not a standing price.

Other Pokémon tins on the same page were priced differently, so the $17 figure applied to selected products, not the whole category. Walmart’s separate collector-tin category showed a changing mix of current tins and mini-tin displays at prices that varied widely. When you compare, match on exact product name, pack count, promo card, seller, and total price rather than the headline figure.
The 2025 Black Friday promotion
A video by EC & Timston dated November 28, 2025 described a $17-per-tin Walmart Black Friday offer. Separate 2025 deal coverage described Paradox Destinies tins marked down to $17. Both are reports of a past promotion. Neither confirms a 2026 sale, and the Paradox Destinies coverage does not name the three tins above, so the two should not be treated as the same product set.

Checking whether the $17 price is available
Use the steps below before you assume a sale tin is still priced at $17.
- Open Walmart’s “Best Sellers In Pokemon Tin Black Friday” category, or search Walmart for “Pokemon tin Black Friday.”
- Open each item page and confirm the exact product name (Iron Leaves, Gouging Fire, or Raging Bolt), the current price, and the struck-through former price.
- Check the seller and fulfillment details on the item page. Seller and fulfillment can differ between listings for the same product.
- Look at the item detail for the booster count and any promo card included, since the category page does not show them.
- Go to checkout and compare the total, including shipping and tax, against the listed price.
- If the item is gone or priced higher, compare alternatives using the criteria in the comparison section below.
What a Pokémon TCG tin contains
Pokémon Support describes tins as one of its other TCG product formats. Tins may include special promotional cards alongside booster packs. Contents are product-specific, so read the packaging or item detail for the named tin rather than assuming it matches another release.
Rank #2
- 3 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 2 sticker sheets
How booster packs work
Pokémon Support states the following about booster packs:
- Packs are randomized, and no pull is guaranteed.
- Each pack contains 10 cards: 4 commons, 3 uncommons, and 3 foils, with at least one rare or higher.
- Each pack also includes an Energy card and a code card redeemable in Pokémon TCG Live.
- Packs included in boxed products are the same packs sold individually. They do not carry a special rate or a higher chance of specific cards.
- Sets before Scarlet & Violet only guarantee at least one reverse foil per pack, according to the same support page.
In practice, a tin’s value depends on the packs and promo card you actually receive, and a tin should not be bought for a specific card.
Rank #3
- The Pokémon TCG: Mega Moonlit Tin includes:
- 1 foil promo card featuring Mega Gengar ex
- 4 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- A code card for Pokémon TCG Live
Comparing the deal with other tins
When the sale tin is unavailable, or you are weighing alternatives, compare options on these five points:
- Tin and featured Pokémon or promo: the exact tin name and the promo card it includes, if any.
- Booster count and set names: how many packs the tin holds and which sets they come from.
- Price per pack: the total delivered price divided by the booster count on the item page. The Walmart listing reviewed did not state the count, so this calculation only works after you check the item detail.
- Seller and sealed status: who sells the tin and whether it arrives factory-sealed.
- Your priority: whether the promo card and tin artwork matter to you, or whether you mainly want packs.
Where to buy Pokémon TCG tins
Pokémon Support names Walmart, Target, GameStop, and reputable local hobby shops as places to find its products. If the Walmart price disappears, checking more than one of these channels is the simplest way to compare totals.
