When did Darktide come to PS5?
The standard PS5 release arrived on December 3, 2024, alongside the Grim Protocols update. Buyers who preordered the Imperial Edition received six days of early access, starting November 27, 2024. The PlayStation Store listing currently offers the PS5 game digitally.

What kind of game is Darktide?
Darktide is a four-player co-op action game set in Tertium. You play as a conscripted convict called a Reject, serving the Inquisition against Chaos forces. Combat mixes melee and ranged weapons, while character creation, class talent trees and weapon-family progression let players shape their character and play style, according to Fatshark’s PS5 release announcement.
What are the PS5 and PS5 Pro performance modes?
Fatshark announced two modes for PS5: Performance mode targets 60 FPS at 1440p, while Quality mode targets 30 FPS at 4K. For PS5 Pro, the developer said the game uses PSSR to target 60 FPS at 4K. These are developer-stated targets, not independently measured results.

Can you play Darktide with friends on other platforms?
Fatshark’s PS5 announcement trailer confirms that the PS5 version supports crossplay. The announcement does not enumerate the complete list of supported platforms, so check current game documentation for the platform combinations available to your group.
Does Darktide support DualSense features, and is PS Plus required?
Fatshark said the PS5 launch version would support DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. This was a developer announcement rather than an independent assessment of how the features feel in play. The PlayStation Store listing says PS Plus is required for online play; check the listing for current terms.

Is there a PS5 disc edition or optional merchandise?
The PlayStation Store lists a digital PS5 version, but the sources reviewed do not establish whether a physical PS5 disc edition is available. Merchandise is optional and does not affect gameplay: the official Warhammer store’s Darktide collection includes items such as a gaming mat, apparel, beanies and a mug. The store listing confirms the merchandise, not availability or pricing through other retailers.
