To farm a Kuva Lich deliberately, inspect the weapon shown by a Kuva Larvling before using Mercy, then hunt Thralls on the Lich’s influenced nodes to reveal the three Requiem Mod identities. You still have to discover their order with Parazon attempts, then complete the Railjack showdown and choose whether to vanquish the Lich for its weapon or convert it into an ally.
How to start a Kuva Lich cycle without accepting the wrong weapon
A Kuva Lich begins with a Kuva Larvling. In Digital Extremes’ 2019 opt-in flow, using Mercy on the Larvling creates the Lich; if you do not want that candidate, walk away and let it die after 15 seconds. A later official update says the Larvling displays its weapon, so check that offer before committing. These mechanics are documented in older updates; the sources cited here do not establish whether later changes have altered the live flow. Digital Extremes, The Old Blood update.
How to farm Murmurs and reveal the Requiems
Follow the Lich’s influence
After a Lich is created, its influence marks controlled mission nodes where Kuva Thralls can appear. The documented rank progression is Rank 1 Earth, Rank 2 Mars, Rank 3 Ceres, Rank 4 Sedna, and Rank 5 Kuva Fortress. These locations come from Digital Extremes’ July 6, 2021 Update 30.5 notes; check the live Lich screen for the current map if exact node locations matter. Digital Extremes, Update 30.5.
Mercy Thralls for Murmurs
Use Hidden Mercy on Thralls to build Murmur progress. Murmurs reveal which three Requiem Mods the Lich requires, but they do not reveal the order in which those Mods must be equipped. A 2021 Update 30.5 estimate put Thrall-only discovery of all three Requiems at about 12–13 missions on average, down from 18–19 before that update. This is a dated average, not a guaranteed run length or a verified current benchmark. Digital Extremes, Update 30.5.

How to get and use Requiem Mods
Requiem Relics can be obtained from Kuva Siphon and Kuva Flood missions, from Thralls, or through trading; open them in Requiem Fissure missions to obtain Requiem Mods. Each Requiem Mod has three successful uses before it becomes Defiled. Digital Extremes, The Old Blood update.
Equip the revealed Mods on your Parazon, then test the sequence when the Lich appears. A failed attempt still adds Murmur progress and gives you information about the order. Digital Extremes clarified that progress from Lich attempts is personal, while Thrall Murmurs are shared. Digital Extremes, The Old Blood Hotfix 26.0.1.

Thralls versus testing the Lich
| Approach | What it does | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Mercy Thralls | Builds Murmurs that reveal Requiem identities; Thrall progress is shared. | When you still need to learn which Mods are required. |
| Parazon attempt on the Lich | Tests slot order; a failed attempt also adds personal Murmur progress. | When you are ready to test a likely sequence or want the information from an attempt. |
The cited sources do not provide a current numerical efficiency comparison between these approaches. Use the Murmur screen to decide whether you need more identities or whether it is worth testing an order.
Use Oull as a wildcard
Oull can stand in for whichever Requiem belongs in its Parazon slot, which can help when that slot’s Mod is still uncertain. Like other Requiem Mods, it has three successful uses. Digital Extremes, Update 30.5.

What happens after you solve the sequence
In the flow described by Update 30.5, a Lich weakened by the correct Parazon sequence flees to its Galleon. The showdown takes place in Saturn Proxima, and those notes state a minimum Intrinsic 5 requirement. They also describe the showdown as a guaranteed fight after the sequence is solved, so prepare your Railjack and loadout before entering. These are update-era details; the cited source does not verify whether the requirement remains current. Digital Extremes, Update 30.5.

| Choice | Outcome | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Vanquish | Receive the Lich’s signature Kuva weapon and an applicable Ephemera. | You want the weapon reward. |
| Convert | Keep the Lich as an ally; converted Liches do not award the weapon. Items returned through conversion are taxed. | You prefer an ally over the weapon. |
The choice is made at the end of the confrontation, so decide whether the weapon or ally matters more before selecting the outcome. Digital Extremes, Update 30.5.
