A September 2024 report says Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 includes a memorial credit for John Peter Bain, the YouTuber and game critic known as TotalBiscuit. MobyGames’ credit database also lists Bain under “In Memoriam” for the 2024 Xbox Series release. The available sources point to a credit, not a playable character, quest, or special-edition feature.
What the tribute is—and what is confirmed
Juxia reported on September 9, 2024, that players with early access spotted Bain’s name in the game’s “In Memoriam” credits. The report attributes the discovery to a Reddit user’s screenshot and says the credits appeared after completing the campaign. MobyGames independently records Bain as “In Memoriam” in its listing for the Xbox Series version of Space Marine II.
These are a third-party report and a game-credit database, not a direct announcement from developer Saber Interactive or publisher Focus Entertainment. They corroborate the memorial-credit detail, but do not establish its exact screen order or independently verify when it appears. The sources describe a credit rather than an in-game appearance or gameplay content.
Why TotalBiscuit had a connection to Space Marine
Bain’s connection to the series goes back to the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. His YouTube listing for “WTF Is… – Warhammer 40k : Space Marine ?” is dated August 22, 2011, the same year that game was released. That establishes a documented link to the first game; it does not show that his coverage caused or influenced the sequel.

Where the name appears in Space Marine 2
The report places the name in the “In Memoriam” section of the credits, which it says players reached after finishing the campaign. That placement and sequence come from Juxia’s account; MobyGames confirms the credit category but does not document the screen sequence. Saber Interactive’s FAQ gives an average campaign duration of 10 to 12 hours, varying with difficulty and player profile, so the report’s approximate campaign length should not be treated as a guaranteed time.
