There is no official beauty ranking for Starfield, but several worlds make compelling scenic destinations: Paradiso for a resort-and-beach feel, Codos for views of a neighboring world, and Eridani II or Tidacha I for tropical and forest scenery. These are subjective starting points, not guaranteed panoramas; use the Starmap’s environmental details to choose a biome and landing area.
Which Starfield planets are worth visiting for the views?
Bethesda’s 2022 gameplay reveal described more than 100 systems and over 1,000 planets open to visit. That scale invites exploration, but Bethesda does not rank planets by beauty. The suggestions below come from gaming guides and an individual player discussion, so treat them as inspiration rather than a consensus list.

| Destination | What makes it appealing | How to read the recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Paradiso (Porrima II, Porrima system) | A resort and beach setting. | A gaming location guide calls it a beautiful retreat; that is the guide’s opinion, not an objective rating. Read the location guide. |
| Codos (moon of Akila) | A potentially striking outpost view with a large neighboring world in the sky. | Dot Esports includes Codos among beautiful outpost worlds. See the outpost-world suggestions. |
| Eridani II | Tropical areas for players looking for lush scenery. | Dot Esports says its tropical areas can rival Paradiso; the comparison is subjective. See the outpost-world suggestions. |
| Tidacha I | Forest scenery. | Dot Esports praises its forests. See the outpost-world suggestions. |
| Tau Ceti VIII-b | A player-described mix of savanna and desert scenery, red flora, and a ringed giant in the sky. | This is an individual player’s recommendation, not a verified general consensus. Read the player discussion. |
Good places to begin if you want to explore
Paradiso for a beach-resort atmosphere
Paradiso is a natural pick if you want a named destination associated with beaches and a resort setting. The guide’s description supports it as a scenic suggestion, but it does not establish that every landing area offers the same view.
Codos for a view beyond the horizon
As a moon of Akila, Codos is worth considering if a large neighboring world overhead is part of your ideal outpost vista. The recommendation comes from Dot Esports’ list of attractive outpost worlds, rather than an official rating.
#1 Best Overall
- Start your journey by customizing your appearance and deciding your Background and Traits
- Venture through the stars and explore more than 1000 planets
- Pilot and command the ship of your dreams.
Eridani II and Tidacha I for contrasting landscapes
Choose Eridani II if tropical biomes appeal to you; choose Tidacha I if you are looking for forests. Dot Esports highlights both, but its comparison of Eridani II’s tropical areas with Paradiso is an editorial judgment.
Tau Ceti VIII-b for a more unusual sky
A player discussion recommends Tau Ceti VIII-b for savanna and desert scenery, red plants, and a ringed giant in the sky. Because this description is anecdotal, use it as a lead to investigate rather than a promise of a particular panorama.

Jemison and Akila for familiar starting points
Jemison, in Alpha Centauri, and Akila, in Cheyenne, are recognizable destinations if you want to start with named worlds. Bethesda uses Kreet as an example of a planetary environment and supports planet exploration through the Starmap, while older Game8 planet guides identify Jemison and Akila’s systems. These references establish them as useful starting points, not as objectively the prettiest planets. Game8’s Jemison guide; Game8’s Akila guide.
How to find a scenic landing area
- Choose the planet or moon in System View. Bethesda’s Starmap guidance explains that System View shows the planets and moons in a system along with system information. Bethesda’s Starmap guide.
- Open Planet View and inspect the environment. Planet View provides environmental information, resource scanning, and key landing sites, which can help you narrow down where to look. Bethesda’s Starmap guide.
- Use scans to help choose an area. Xbox Wire’s 2023 exploration guide says scanning can show resource locations on the map and describes exploration as a way to find flora, fauna, and resources. Resource information is useful for selecting a landing area, though it is not a direct beauty rating. Xbox Wire’s explorer guide.
- Try another landing area or biome if the view is ordinary. A planet name alone does not guarantee a specific panorama. Biome and landing context can change what you see, and the sources available do not establish fixed coordinates for the scenic views in these recommendations.
- Check environmental effects before exploring. Bethesda notes that effects such as Extreme Pressure appear in the planetary overview. Consider those conditions alongside the scenery. Bethesda’s planetary-effects guidance.
What makes a planet beautiful is up to you
A scenic shortlist is most useful when you match it to what you want to see: beaches at Paradiso, a neighboring-world view at Codos, tropical scenery at Eridani II, forests at Tidacha I, or the anecdotal red-flora-and-rings view on Tau Ceti VIII-b. None is an official winner, and a world’s name cannot guarantee the same vista at every landing site. Bethesda’s Planet View and scan information give you practical ways to explore for the landscape you prefer.
