Choose the fix that matches what is blocking you: reset a forgotten password, use a supported linked platform account if you’ve lost access to your email, use a 2FA backup code if your authenticator is unavailable, or start Activision’s hacked-account recovery if you suspect someone took over your account. For anything else, select the closest issue in Activision Support Options.
Start with the problem you’re seeing
| What’s wrong | What to try |
|---|---|
| You forgot your password | Request a password reset using the email tied to your Activision account. |
| You can’t access that email | Try signing in with a supported linked platform account, or contact Activision Support about the email change. |
| You can’t complete 2FA | Use a backup code if your authenticator app is unavailable. |
| Your account details changed or an unknown account was linked | Use Activision’s hacked-account recovery route. |
| None of these fit | Choose the closest issue in Activision Support Options. A ban or enforcement issue belongs in the ban appeal route, not a password-reset request. |
If you forgot your Activision account password
Submit a request through Activision’s password-reset page. Activision sends the reset link to the email address associated with the account; the link expires after 24 hours. If the message doesn’t arrive, select “I didn’t get a password reset email” in Support Options.
This reset route depends on access to the account’s email. Activision says it can’t reset the password through this process if you no longer have access to that address.
If you can’t access the email on your account
Activision’s account-management guidance says to contact support if you’ve lost access to the email associated with your account. If you had already linked a supported platform account, you may have another way in: Activision’s account security guide says you can sign in using PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Battle.net credentials, then update your Activision account password or email.

That sign-in option does not cover every linked account. Activision’s guide does not describe Nintendo or social-account links as supported for this login method. Don’t unlink anything while locked out; use the available sign-in or support route first.
If two-factor authentication is stopping you
Activision’s account-management article lists authenticator-app codes, SMS, and email as 2FA methods. If you normally use an authenticator app but can’t access it—for example, because your phone was lost or replaced—look for one of the backup codes provided when you enabled 2FA. Activision says the codes were also sent to you by email.

Backup codes are for recovery rather than routine sign-in. If you can’t find them, choose “I can’t find my authenticator app backup codes” or the closest 2FA issue in Support Options. Activision’s 2FA instructions explain the recovery steps.
If you think your Activision account was hacked
Look at what changed. If Activision emailed you that an account you don’t recognize was linked, its security guidance says to sign in, unlink that account, and change your password. If you received a notice about a login attempt you didn’t make, change your password immediately. If you can’t regain access or suspicious activity continues, use Activision’s hacked-account recovery process.

What to expect from recovery
If you’re locked out, the recovery process may require creating a temporary Activision account with an accessible, verifiable email address and linking a platform account that was previously linked to the hacked account. Follow the recovery page’s requirements carefully: Activision warns that using an unverifiable or disposable email, or linking a different platform account, can result in denial.

Activision says the temporary account becomes inaccessible after recovery, and progress and purchases can’t be transferred from it. Don’t buy in-game content on that temporary account. The recovery page gives an estimate of up to two days for processing and says Activision will email you when the request is complete; that is an estimate, not a guaranteed turnaround.
