Pep-In-Your-Step is the direct food answer identified for The War Within: a Wowhead guide update reports that it grants 250 Speed and water walking. Fried Bonefish is another food option, but its Speed benefit is triggered by killing an enemy. Midnight cooking teas also grant Speed, though they are drinks—not food—and can be used alongside a Well Fed food buff.
Which WoW food gives movement speed?
For The War Within, a Wowhead guide update identifies Pep-In-Your-Step as a food that grants 250 Speed and water walking. That value is reported by the guide update, not confirmed by an official Blizzard item page among the sources available here. Check the in-game tooltip for the item on your character and patch before relying on its exact effect.
How does Fried Bonefish work?
Fried Bonefish is a legacy food option whose Speed benefit activates after you kill an enemy, according to the same Wowhead guide update. Because the effect depends on a kill, it is not the same kind of always-on food benefit; the guide discusses it for moving quickly through legacy raid and dungeon trash.
What are the Midnight speed teas?
Wowhead’s March 19, 2026 article reports that Midnight cooking teas grant 50 Speed rating for 10 seconds, estimated there as approximately 4.35% movement speed. These are drinks, not food, and the reported Speed rating and percentage estimate are different ways of describing the effect—not figures to compare directly with Pep-In-Your-Step’s 250 Speed.

The tea’s Relaxed effect can stack alongside a Well Fed food buff, so a tea and food can coexist. Relaxed does not stack with another Relaxed tea effect; drinking another tea does not add a second copy of that buff.

What Blizzard’s Midnight notes confirm
Blizzard’s Midnight Content Update Notes describe new recipes and a reduction in stackable reagent and consumable quality tiers from three to two. Those notes provide profession-system context; they do not verify the named Pep-In-Your-Step tooltip or its reported Speed value.
