At the opening, waiting instead of cuffing him ends the game almost immediately. In the final mission, choosing Walk Away skips the fight with Joseph and leaves with the officers; choosing Resist leads to the final confrontation and the game’s apocalyptic ending.
If you mean the opening arrest scene
Near the start of Far Cry 5, the player is ordered to arrest Joseph Seed, the leader of Project at Eden’s Gate. When the player attempts the arrest, Joseph says, “God will not let you take me.” You can decline to cuff him by waiting. Ubisoft says Sheriff Whitehorse then decides the group should leave; they turn around and walk out, and the credits roll. This is an early ending that stops the main campaign before it gets underway.
