Ninja Kiwi lists Contested Territories, public co-op lobbies, and online Boss and Race leaderboards among the affected features; its support article does not say that a flag blocks all play or amounts to a full game ban.
What does a BTD6 flag restrict?
Ninja Kiwi says BTD6 uses an anti-cheat system to separate unfair play from legitimate play. On a flagged account, the restrictions it identifies affect specific online modes and leaderboards:
- Contested Territories
- Public co-op lobbies
- Online Boss leaderboards
- Online Race leaderboards
The published guidance describes segregation from legitimate players for these activities. It does not specify a flag duration or say that every mode, including offline play, is disabled. Ninja Kiwi Support’s “Account Flagged for Hacking” article was published July 25, 2023 and is marked updated.
What can get an account flagged?
Ninja Kiwi names several possible causes. These are the publisher’s stated examples, not a complete account of how its detection system works:

For multiplayer, competitive play, and rewards, Ninja Kiwi’s Terms of Service require legitimate, unmodified clients. The terms say modified-client activity in those contexts may lead to automated or manual segregation and/or suspension. They also say private single-player and private co-op use of modified clients is tolerated, but warn that it may still result in segregation or suspension.
Can you appeal a flag?
If you think the flag is a mistake, contact Ninja Kiwi Support, preferably by submitting a ticket in-game, as the flagging article recommends. The company says it removes a flag only if it believes the flag was caused by a mistake on its part; an appeal is not a guarantee of removal.

You can also use the Support request form. It asks for a description of the issue and makes username and device information optional. Ninja Kiwi says staff will respond “as soon as possible,” but does not promise a specific response time.
Does stopping mods or hacks clear the flag?
No. Ninja Kiwi says that stopping mod or hack use does not, by itself, unflag an account. Its stated option for playing with legitimate users after a flag is to create a new account. For players who want to use mods, Ninja Kiwi advises keeping that activity separate with a second account rather than using a main account.

Can you move your save to another account?
Do not manually copy save files between accounts or devices. Ninja Kiwi warns that doing so can result in a ban. Its support article says the cloud-save system is intended to maintain progress across platforms; use that system rather than manually transferring files.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is not known about flags?
Ninja Kiwi’s cited public guidance does not explain the anti-cheat detection mechanics, state how long a flag lasts, quantify the chance of a false positive, or provide an appeal success rate. It also does not guarantee a date for a Support reply. Treat claims about these details from individual player anecdotes as personal experiences, not as a general publisher policy.
