The game’s story can continue after a central character dies, and a community-maintained character reference says Connor’s memories can be transferred to a replacement model. Whether he returns—and what the death changes—depends on the choices and point in the story.
Does Connor’s death end the story?
No. Quantic Dream’s official game page describes a branching story in which events can mean life or death for its central characters, adding that “the story still continues” if one of them dies. Connor’s death is therefore not, by itself, a guarantee that the entire game ends.

That general premise does not mean every death is temporary. The outcome depends on the branch: the publisher’s page does not list every Connor death or explain what happens after each one.
Can Connor come back?
A community-maintained Connor character reference describes CyberLife transferring his memory to a replacement model after his destruction. In branches where this happens, Connor can return in a new body; the replacement mechanic is documented by that secondary reference, rather than detailed on the publisher’s game page.

A replacement does not make every death inconsequential, nor does the available source material establish that Connor always returns. His fate and the story’s next events depend on the choices made and when the death occurs.

For a specific death, the relevant details are the point in the story, Connor’s status in that branch, whether a replacement is sent, and what the game’s flowchart shows next. The sources cited here establish the broad branching premise and the replacement-memory mechanism, but not a complete, authoritative list of scene-by-scene outcomes.
