Investing in the spaghetti business in Sneaky Sasquatch, which the game also calls the Spaghetti Hotline, starts a small food delivery operation in Town. You pay a 1,000-coin startup fee, then spend more coins on upgrades that raise the business’s daily payout. According to the Sneaky Sasquatch Wiki’s Spaghetti Hotline page, a fully upgraded business pays 250 coins per in-game day before any advertising, and completing the upgrades unlocks a vehicle reward, the Spagooter. Those figures come from secondary guides, not from official developer documentation, and no game version is identified for them.

What “investing” means here

In this game, “invest” means spending in-game coins to buy into a passive income feature. Nothing is invested in a real-world sense, and the business does not involve real money. The money you put in is recovered over time through the business’s daily payouts, so the useful questions are how much it costs in total, how fast it pays back, and what else it adds to your earnings.

How to start the business

The guide describes the opening sequence as follows. Treat each step as a guide-reported detail rather than a tested one.

  1. Go to the bank and find the Spaghetti Entrepreneur. The guide says you need either an Executive Office Worker disguise or a Fancy disguise to reach him.
  2. Pay the 1,000-coin initial investment to start the business.
  3. Return the next in-game day. The guide says the shop opens in an alley in Town at that point.
  4. Call the hotline number, 555-7724, and order one spaghetti before the entrepreneur offers upgrades.

The first spaghetti order is paid for separately and is not part of the upgrade costs below. Its price is reported as 100 coins.

Upgrade costs and daily payouts

The guide lists eight upgrades after the initial investment. Each one raises the daily payout, and the figures below are the cumulative values after each purchase. The “Cumulative coins” column is our addition from the guide’s listed costs, and it shows what you have spent at each stage.

Investment Cost (coins) Daily payout after purchase (coins) Cumulative coins spent
Initial investment 1,000 35 1,000
Sign 500 50 1,500
Fridge 1,000 80 2,500
Kitchen counters 1,000 115 3,500
Sink 500 130 4,000
Gas range 1,000 165 5,000
Ventilation system 2,000 200 7,000
Cutting board and knives 500 225 7,500
Spoon 50 250 7,550

The eight upgrades alone cost 6,550 coins. The 7,550 total in the guide includes the 1,000-coin initial investment. A separate page on making money in the game gives a total of 7,650 coins, which is 7,550 plus the 100-coin first spaghetti order. Keep these three numbers distinct when comparing sources, because they measure different things.

Collecting your money

Profits accumulate in the cash register, where you collect them. According to the guide, the register holds your daily pay and also 25 coins returned for each spaghetti you order. The guide warns that the drawer appears to cap at ten bags of coins. The sources do not establish how many coins a bag holds, so you cannot convert that cap into a coin total from the available information. If you let the register fill up, check whether further payouts stop accumulating before you assume the business is still earning.

Advertising options

Advertising is optional and adds income on top of the base payout. The guide describes two options.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Billboard using the hotline number: adds 100 coins per day, while the billboard rent costs 25 coins per day. The net gain is therefore 75 coins per day, based on the guide’s figures.
  • Newspaper advertising: adds 100 coins per day, but it must be repeated every day. The sources reviewed do not state its daily cost, so compare it against the billboard only after checking the in-game price.

The Spagooter reward

After you complete all of the investments, speak to the Spaghetti Entrepreneur again. The guide reports that this awards the Spagooter, a vehicle. The sources do not say whether the reward appears in every game version or whether it depends on how you complete the upgrades.

Is the business worth the coins?

A simple payback calculation uses the guide’s fully upgraded payout. At 7,550 coins spent and 250 coins per day, the business returns its full investment in roughly 30 in-game days, which is 7,550 divided by 250. That figure excludes advertising, the first 100-coin order, and the 25-coin returns per spaghetti, so the real payback can be shorter if those add income. Because payouts rise in stages, the early period is slower than the full-rate figure suggests.

Free Market NYC Board Game | Economic and Worker Placement Board Game | Bundle with 2 Add-Ons
  • FREE MARKET: NYC is a competitive and strategic board game based on the principles of a free market economy. Presented with a humorous and ironic perspective on life, making it both a social and fun game!
  • BUNDLE of the base game + 2 add-ons
  • 2-5 players, ages 14+, 90-180 minutes long
  • The rules booklet is in 6 languages, but the game is not language-dependent. The game board is fully generic (multilingual), and any player can play the game after a brief explanation.

Several factors should shape the decision:

  • Current coin supply: Spending 1,000 coins on the first investment leaves less for other purchases, so check whether you can afford it without stalling other goals.
  • Time remaining in your playthrough: A payback of about 30 in-game days matters more early in a save than late in one.
  • Other income sources: If you already have a steady earner, the business’s value is mainly its boost on top of that income.

The sources do not include controlled testing of the best upgrade order or timing, so any strategy beyond the arithmetic above is player opinion.

How reliable these figures are

The most detailed source is the community-maintained Sneaky Sasquatch Wiki’s Spaghetti Hotline page, which lists the prerequisites, the upgrade table, the advertising details, and the vehicle reward. It is not an official developer source, and the version it describes is not identified. A 2022 guide from Touch, Tap, Play describes the opening sequence and costs independently, but it may also be out of date. Wikipedia’s article on the game confirms in general terms that the Spaghetti Hotline is a passive-income business, but it does not give the figures above.

If an upgrade cost or payout in your version differs from what is listed here, trust the game’s own in-shop prices over these figures.

Startups, High-Risk Business Strategy Card Game, 2–7 Players, Ages 10+
  • "Startups" is the updated version of an older Oink Game which came out in 2015 and won the second prize at Game Market Tokyo: "Rights". We upgraded the rules, the design and it is even possible to play with more players now!
  • Every player takes the role of an investor and needs to try to invest in at least one of six startup companies to get the biggest shares. Only the player with the most cards of one company can get money in the end, which is why you need to carefully watch the moves of your rival players and thus become the top investor.
  • To make the original game even more interesting, we added "the market", the "Anti-Monopoly-Chip" and more. The rules are still as simple as they were, but if you have played "Rights" before you should notice a new depth to it.
  • The logos of the six startup companies were designed by Kentaro "ANI" Fujimoto who is a famous typographer in Japan. We recommend talking about the different logos and about what kind of company stands behind it - it's fun!

The guide’s numbers are game figures, not real-world statistics, and no real-world data applies to this mechanic.

Use the payout table as a planning guide, and confirm the exact prices before committing your coins.
