Roblox error code 522 is listed by Pro Game Guides as “Followed user has left the game.” It describes a failed attempt to join someone who has already left the game—not a confirmed device or internet fault. Roblox’s reviewed support page does not define code 522, so this explanation is attributed to the third-party guide.
What does Roblox error code 522 mean?
Pro Game Guides associates code 522 with trying to join a player after they have left. The listed messages are “Followed user has left the game” and “The user you attempted to join has left the game.” The guide was updated March 31, 2025: Roblox Error Codes List (and How to Fix Them).
This is a third-party description, not an official Roblox definition. Roblox’s reviewed support page does not explain what code 522 means.
What should you do when you see code 522?
- Check whether the person you were trying to join is still in a game.
- If they are still available, try joining again.
- If the error continues or other Roblox features are failing too, check Roblox’s live status page and contact support.
The cited guide does not give an official code-specific troubleshooting sequence. Because its explanation points to the other player having left, code 522 alone is not evidence that you need to change DNS settings, disable a firewall, use a VPN, clear a cache, or reinstall Roblox.

When to check Roblox status or contact support
A status page can help you see whether Roblox is reporting a broader service issue, but it is only a snapshot; it cannot establish the cause of an individual or localized error. Check Roblox Status for current information. If the problem persists or affects more than joining one person, use Roblox Support to find technical-help categories and submit a request.
