Deluxe is a bundle upgrade, adding 700 Minecoins, three Bedrock add-ons, and three Character Creator items. Those extras require a Microsoft account and Bedrock Edition; they do not work in Java Edition.
What’s included in Standard and Deluxe?
The current Minecraft Deluxe Collection for PC listing presents both tiers as including Java Edition, Bedrock Edition, and the Minecraft Launcher. Deluxe adds the following digital content:

- 700 Minecoins
- Three add-ons: Celebration Food, Rescue Dogs, and Plenty O’ Blocks
- Three exclusive Character Creator items
The Minecoin amount and included extras are listing details and may change. Check the official store page for the bundle contents at the time you buy.
Where do the Deluxe extras work?
The store listing says Minecoins, add-ons, and Character Creator items require a Microsoft account and Minecraft Bedrock Edition, which is included in the collection. They are not supported in Java Edition. In practical terms, Deluxe adds Bedrock content to the bundle; it does not add a different or upgraded core game edition.

Is the choice between Standard and Deluxe the same as choosing Java or Bedrock?
No. Standard versus Deluxe compares bundle contents. Java versus Bedrock compares two editions with different platform support, cross-play, and content ecosystems. Minecraft’s official edition comparison describes Java cross-play with Java players on Windows, Mac, and Linux, while Bedrock supports cross-play across supported devices. It associates community mods with Java and Marketplace content and add-ons with Bedrock.
For platform availability, Minecraft Help lists Java for Windows, Mac, and Linux through minecraft.net, and Bedrock for Windows, iOS, Android, Chromebook, and Amazon phones and tablets. The PC collection listing identifies Mac and Linux as Java-only for this collection. Check the platform-specific store listing before buying, since the PC collection comparison does not describe every console or mobile bundle.

Which tier should you choose?
- Choose Standard if you want both PC editions and the Launcher, but do not particularly want the listed Bedrock add-ons, Minecoins, or cosmetics.
- Consider Deluxe if you expect to use Bedrock and value its included Minecoins, add-ons, and Character Creator items.
- Compare editions separately if your decision is really about platform, playing with friends, or Java mods versus Bedrock Marketplace content. Those are Java-versus-Bedrock considerations, not Standard-versus-Deluxe differences.
