Pokémon Alpha Sapphire lets you catch Kyogre as its story legendary, then Rayquaza and Deoxys during the Delta Episode. Optional postgame content adds the Regi trio, Regigigas, Lugia, Heatran and numerous Mirage Spot encounters. Some Pokémon are version-exclusive, and a few Mirage Spot catches require trading for a Pokémon from Omega Ruby.
Story and Delta Episode Legendaries
Kyogre
Kyogre is Alpha Sapphire’s main story legendary. After the events at Seafloor Cavern, you encounter it in the Cave of Origin at level 45. It Primal Reverts during the battle; after the encounter, the game gives you its orb. Serebii’s ORAS legendary encounter guide lists the location and encounter details.
Rayquaza and Deoxys
The postgame Delta Episode adds two more major encounters. Rayquaza appears at Sky Pillar at level 70, and you must catch it to continue the episode. It can Mega Evolve when it knows Dragon Ascent. After the space sequence, Deoxys challenges you at level 80. Serebii’s encounter guide covers both.
The Regi puzzle quest
All three Regis and Regigigas are obtainable through optional puzzles. To open the ruins, set up your party with Relicanth in the first slot and Wailord in the sixth, and bring Pokémon that know Dig and Dive. Follow the inscriptions in the Route 134 chamber to unlock the three individual ruins.

To make Regigigas appear, bring all three Regis and a nicknamed Regice holding a frozen item to Island Cave during the day. The locations, puzzle setup and encounter levels are detailed in Serebii’s ORAS guide.
Other postgame and Eon Ticket encounters
Lugia
In Alpha Sapphire, Lugia is at Sea Mauville at level 50. After the main Kyogre event, find the Scanner there and take it to Captain Stern. He gives you the Tidal Bell; return to Sea Mauville and interact with the portal in the underwater basement.

Heatran
Heatran appears at level 50 in Scorched Slab after the main legendary event. Serebii’s encounter guide lists the postgame encounter details.
Latios and the Eon Ticket
The Eon Ticket takes you to Southern Island, where Alpha Sapphire players encounter Latios at level 30. The ticket is described as obtainable through an event or StreetPass; availability can depend on whether you already have access to one. This is the counterpart to the earlier Eon Pokémon encounter. Mirage Spot Legendaries and their requirements
Mirage Spots are reached while Soaring, and their legendary encounters are conditional: some require specific Pokémon in your party, a particular level, maximum Happiness or a time-of-day window. The following are the most useful requirements to check before setting out.

These requirements and locations are listed in Serebii’s Mirage Spot encounter guide. The broader ORAS encounter set includes other Pokémon whose prerequisites may depend on the opposite-version legendary, so a listed encounter is not always achievable on an Alpha Sapphire save without trading.

Alpha Sapphire exclusives versus Omega Ruby
Some legendary encounters are tied to the version. Alpha Sapphire’s exclusive legends are Kyogre, Lugia, Latios, Dialga, Zekrom and Thundurus. Omega Ruby’s corresponding exclusives are Groudon, Ho-Oh, Latias, Palkia, Reshiram and Tornadus. To add an opposing version’s exclusive to an Alpha Sapphire collection, you need a trade or access to another version. Serebii’s version encounter guide provides the encounter distinctions.
That trade distinction also affects some conditional encounters: Kyurem requires both Reshiram and Zekrom, while Landorus requires both Tornadus and Thundurus. Since Alpha Sapphire supplies Zekrom and Thundurus but not Reshiram or Tornadus, the missing counterpart must come from outside that save.
