The 2024 “Where in the Cosmodrome is Archie?” quest started at the Tower Annex and sent players through five Cosmodrome locations before returning to Ada-1. It was designed as a one-week quest; no checked current source confirms that this specific hunt has returned in 2026.
Can you start the Cosmodrome Archie quest now?
This guide covers the historical weekly quest route, not a currently confirmed activity. Bungie said on May 2, 2024, “These quests are only intended to be available for one week each and were made with this time limit in mind.” Bungie’s weekly update also said the Blue Steel shader could be earned by completing any one weekly Archie quest. The 2026 Update 9.7.0 support guide does not establish that this particular 2024 quest has recurred.
Where to begin: Tower Annex and Ada-1
- Go to the Tower Annex and investigate the glowing paw prints at Archie’s usual spot.
- Speak with Ada-1 to pick up the “Where in the Cosmodrome is Archie?” quest.
Archie’s ordinary Tower location is in the Bazaar lower levels, between Ada-1 and Drifter, according to Bungie Help’s Tower guide. The quest begins at the Annex prints, so use those markers rather than looking for Archie at his regular spot.
Follow the Cosmodrome route
1. Meet Shaw Han in The Steppes
Travel to The Steppes and speak with Shaw Han to receive the next clue.

2. Investigate the Skywatch loot cave
Go to the loot cave in Skywatch and inspect the paw prints at its entrance.
3. Search the Terrestrial Complex
Head east of Skywatch to the Terrestrial Complex. Follow the route through the complex to the area with the antenna and computers, then investigate the prints. If the room is not immediately clear, follow the quest clues and look for the paw-print marker; walkthroughs differ slightly in how they describe the precise spot.
4. Continue to The Grottos
Travel toward the Forgotten Shore, then keep going beyond the map edge into The Grottos. Investigate the paw prints near the door to Rasputin’s bunker.
5. Find Archie near Dock 13
Return to The Steppes and go through Dock 13 toward The Divide. Defeat the Fallen around Archie, then interact with him.

After interacting with Archie, return to Ada-1 in the Tower Annex to complete the quest. The Cosmodrome walkthroughs describe 10 Trophies of Bravery and an Archie gift among the quest rewards; those are historical quest rewards, not an indication that the activity is currently claimable.
