The announcement used “PST,” but August 7 falls during Pacific Daylight Time. So the clearest way to state the schedule is 9:00 AM Pacific Time (PDT), or 16:00 UTC. The official French-language announcement listed 18:00 Paris time, consistent with that conversion: French Season 05 announcement.
Season 05 launch versus Season 05 Reloaded
Season 05 Reloaded was a later, separate mid-season update—not the original Season 05 launch. The official Reloaded announcement, published September 2, 2025, scheduled it for Thursday, September 4 at 9:00 AM PT. Search results that show September 4 are referring to Reloaded.

No. The 9:00 AM time is the season’s announced launch, not a promise that every item listed in the announcement was immediately playable. Call of Duty distinguished “Launch” content, available at the season launch, from “Launch Window” content, which could arrive any time from launch through 72 hours afterward. “In Season” referred to content arriving during the season, usually before the mid-season update; “Mid-Season” meant Season 05 Reloaded or later.
Season 05 included multiplayer maps and modes, new weapons and gear, and Zombies content, including Reckoning, presented as the Zombies finale. The announcement listed Runway, Exchange, and W.M.D. among the maps, but their availability depended on the timing category assigned to each feature.
