Genshin Impact Version 4.6 released on April 24, 2024. HoYoverse scheduled maintenance to begin at 06:00 UTC+8 that day and estimated it would last about five hours, which put the planned end at roughly 11:00 UTC+8 (03:00 UTC). Those are announced figures from 2024, not a live status, and the official notices do not confirm the exact time servers came back online.
Release date and maintenance window
The 4.6 update was tied to a single maintenance window on April 24, 2024. HoYoverse’s localized notices give the same schedule in different time zones, which is the main source of confusion when readers compare dates.
| Item | UTC+8 | Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9) | UTC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maintenance start | April 24, 2024, 06:00 | April 24, 2024, 07:00 | April 23, 2024, 22:00 |
| Announced duration | About 5 hours | About 5 hours | About 5 hours |
| Estimated end | Around 11:00 | Around 12:00 | Around 03:00 (April 24) |
The Vietnamese official notice gives the start as “2024/04/24 06:00 (UTC+8)” and says maintenance is “expected to be completed within 5 hours.” The Japanese official notice independently lists the start as 07:00 JST and an approximately five-hour duration. Both point to the same instant. Sources: HoYoverse: Version 4.6 Update Introduction (Vietnamese) and HoYoverse: Version 4.6 Official Release (Japanese).
How the end time is calculated
UTC+8 is eight hours ahead of UTC, so 06:00 on April 24 in UTC+8 is 22:00 on April 23 in UTC. Adding the five-hour estimate gives 11:00 UTC+8, which is 03:00 UTC on April 24. Readers in other time zones can convert from UTC using the same offset.

What the notices do and do not confirm
The end time is a planned estimate. The notices establish when maintenance was scheduled to start and roughly how long it was expected to run. They do not record the actual moment the servers reopened, so a reopening timestamp should not be treated as confirmed from these announcements. If you need the real reopening time for a historical comparison, check community reports from April 24, 2024 or archived patch-day posts, and label them as unofficial unless HoYoverse published them.
