Epic announced Fortnitemares on October 9, 2025, with the event running “now ‘til November 1.” That means the announced event window was October 9 through November 1, 2025. Epic’s Fortnitemares announcement is the source for the schedule.

Battle Royale characters and theme
Epic described Doja Cat as the “Mother of Thorns,” bringing a haunted-kingdom theme to Battle Royale. The announcement also highlighted Jason, Wednesday Addams, Scooby-Doo, and Ghost Face. Those were headline names, not a complete release calendar or confirmation of every item’s availability date. Epic’s event overview lists the featured characters.
Fortnite Reload’s Nitemare Island
Fortnite Reload received the Nitemare Island map on October 10, 2025, one day after the event began. Epic placed the Halloween content in both Battle Royale and Reload. The announcement gives the Reload date.

Twitch Drops: October 9–12
Epic announced two limited-time digital rewards for watching any stream in the Fortnite category from October 9 at 9 a.m. ET through October 12 at 11:59 p.m. ET, 2025:
- Treat Sack Back Bling: 30 cumulative minutes of viewing.
- Treat Axe Pickaxe: one cumulative hour of viewing.
The watch-time requirements were cumulative, and the rewards were digital cosmetics rather than physical products. Epic’s announcement contains the stated viewing window and requirements.

Epic dated Fortnite update v37.50 to October 9, 2025. Its release notes mention a pumpkin container for Creative and UEFN, plus ash visual effects from a Fortnitemares Haunted POI.
