When did the Fortnite OG Butterfly event start?
Fortnite Wiki (Fandom), a community-maintained reference that warns some page information may be inaccurate, lists the event for November 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. It also reports that a countdown appeared in the lobby on November 3, 2025. These are historical details, not a schedule for a future showing. See the community reference for The Butterfly Event.
Is there a Butterfly event countdown timer now?
No active countdown for the original Butterfly event is indicated by that historical date. The available information does not confirm a rerun or provide a new date and time.
Epic’s Fortnite News listing returned a June 2026 announcement for the Shattered event, but that limited listing result does not establish whether a Butterfly rerun has been announced elsewhere. Check Epic’s Fortnite News page for official announcements rather than treating old countdown information as current.

How to check countdowns for future Fortnite events
Countdown behavior depends on the kind of event. Epic Support’s instructions describe bookmarking competitive events: players can receive notifications starting 24 hours before, and a countdown appears in Ranked lobbies. This guidance is specifically about competitive events; it does not establish how countdowns work for every live story event. Read Epic’s competitive-event bookmarking guidance.
