The three doors the key opens
Every location below comes from the Arc Raiders AI third-party location guide, which was marked updated on 7 October 2026, unless a different source is named. Embark Studios’ own item documentation and map material did not confirm these details when this article was written, so treat the placements as guide information rather than official game data.
Grandioso Apartments
The guide places this door northwest of Old Town Hatch and north of Abandoned Highway Camp, and it describes the surrounding area as a white zone. John Schutt’s Shacknews guide, published 7 February 2026, adds that the Grandioso door is on the first floor, which is the most specific floor-level detail available for any of the three doors.
Main Street door
The guide places this door beside Main Street, northwest of Plaza Rosa. No floor placement is stated for it in the sources reviewed.

Eastern Station door
The guide places this door southeast of Eastern Station and northeast of Red Tower. A separate map page’s marker list includes several Residential Master Key doors and marks one south of Eastern Station. That wording is close to the guide’s “southeast” placement but is not identical, so if you are navigating by map marker, check the marker’s position against the in-game map before you commit.

None of the sources reviewed compares the three doors on loot value, blueprint chance, or how safe the approach is, so there is no evidence that one door is the best choice. Use these factors to decide:

- Route fit: Spend the key at the door that lies on the path you already plan to take. A door you have to detour to reach costs time and exposure.
- Placement precision: The Grandioso door has the most detailed placement, including the floor. The Main Street and Eastern Station doors are described by landmarks only, so allow extra time to find them.
- Loot reputation: A Shacknews guide describes Grandioso Apartments as a relatively safe loot location. That is one guide’s assessment, not a measured comparison, and it does not extend to the other two doors.
- Quest overlap: Only the Grandioso door is linked to quests in the guide, so it is the only one that may suit a route built around those quests.
What the single-use rule means in practice
The location guide describes the key as an Uncommon, single-use consumable: one key opens one door. In practice, you cannot use the same key on the Grandioso door and then on the Main Street door, so the choice is effectively a one-time decision. Plan the route before you enter Buried City rather than trying the doors in sequence. This rule is stated by the guide and has not been confirmed in official Embark Studios documentation.

The guide says two quests pass Grandioso Apartments: Celeste’s “After Rain Comes” and Tian Wen’s “Unexpected Initiative.” Those quest names and routing come from the guide and have not been checked against official quest data, so confirm them in your own quest log before you plan around them.

How current these details are
Map placements and item rules in ARC Raiders can change with game updates. The guide was marked updated on 7 October 2026, and the Shacknews floor detail dates from 7 February 2026, so the Grandioso floor detail is older than the guide’s placements. If a door does not match the description above, the game has probably changed since these sources were written, and the in-game map is the better reference.
