Because the set is tied to a single job, the same vendor is still the place to return to if you later want another job’s set.
How to claim the artifact armor
- Complete the level 99 main scenario quest In Pursuit of Sphene. The PC Gamer guide by Mollie Taylor (published July 30, 2024) identifies this as the unlock, and says the story brings you close to the vendor.
- Teleport to Tuliyollal. The guide places Mewazunte’s stall near the main aetheryte route.
- Go to approximately X:12.4, Y:12.8. The FFXIV Community Wiki armor entry gives Y:12.9 for the same spot, so look for Mewazunte at or very near these coordinates rather than treating either number as exact.
- Talk to Mewazunte and collect the set for the job you are currently playing.

The official quest record confirms the level 99 story context around the unlock, but the vendor step itself rests on the specialist guide and the community wiki.
Item levels by sync level
The armor scales to the level you are playing. The community wiki reports the following item levels (FFXIV Community Wiki, accessed 2026). These figures are not confirmed by Square Enix’s official item database.

Because the set is job-specific, the practical choice is whether to claim the set for the job you are leveling now or come back to the vendor later for a different job.

Dyeing
The community wiki reports that dyeing unlocks after you complete the Dawntrail Role Quests. This is recorded in the community reference only.

The unlock quest belongs to the Dawntrail main scenario, so you need the expansion to reach it. Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes state that some Dawntrail additions require purchase and registration of the expansion. The artifact armor itself is described as free by both the PC Gamer guide and the community wiki.

If you cannot find the vendor
- Confirm you have completed In Pursuit of Sphene. Mewazunte does not appear until the quest is done.
- If the coordinates do not match, check the area around Y:12.8 to Y:12.9.
- If you have not reached level 99 in the main scenario, the unlock has not happened yet.
What the sources do not establish
- No official vendor inventory was found. The list of jobs covered by the vendor is not independently confirmed for every job.
- The coordinates come from a specialist guide and a community wiki, so they are approximate.
- No second vendor, currency exchange, dungeon drop, or purchase route is documented in these sources.
