Before you start: unlock the Healer career
The Silver Needle trial does not open for every character. One guide reports that you need to reach level 13 and visit Mu Ji’an in Mercyheart Town to unlock Healer (Where Winds Meet Handbook; Gamer Guides). A separate current-route guide describes the same gate more simply: complete the Healer unlock quest and confirm that Healer appears under Careers. Check Career progression before you travel, because the initiation depends on it.
Route to the Silver Needle Clinic
- Travel to Sage’s Knoll in southwest Qinghe and look for the Silver Needle Clinic. Dr. Yuan is the quest giver. Landmarks reported by guides include the road near Encircling Lake and Tiger Ridge (Where Winds Meet Handbook; Game8).
- Speak with Dr. Yuan and accept The Three Questions.
- Treat the three patients named in the quest. Their locations and the choices reported for them are in the table below.
- After treatment, confirm that a third Medical Record has been added to your inventory.
- Return all three Medical Records to Dr. Yuan, finish the trial discussion, and accept membership. A recent guide reports Panacea Fan as the joining reward (Where Winds Meet Handbook).
The three patients and the reported choices
Each patient is a separate treatment interaction. The handbook places them relative to the clinic, and the Winds Meet Guide lists the choices for the first two (Winds Meet Guide).

The Little Beggar’s fee wording differs between English captures of the quest, so read the option as it appears in your own client rather than matching a fixed label. The handbook and the Winds Meet Guide agree that the treatment is complete only when the third Medical Record is actually added.

- Dr. Yuan has no relevant dialogue: confirm that Healer is unlocked, then check whether The Three Questions appears in your exploration quest list.
- The third patient looks finished but the quest stays open: look for the third Medical Record. Guides warn that agreeing on a fee is not the success condition on its own.
- Directions don’t match what you see: older Chinese-language routes use legacy names and locations. The Winds Meet Guide advises following the Sage’s Knoll route and the in-game quest marker rather than older location or weekday instructions (Winds Meet Guide).
What is and is not confirmed
The route above is consistent across the sources reviewed, but several points rest on guides rather than official game documentation. The Panacea Fan reward and the patient choices come from third-party guides, not from the publisher. Exact map coordinates were not available, and no current game build or patch version was confirmed by an official source, so treat the steps as a guide to the quest as written and confirm them against your current quest interface. The Game8 page appeared in search results with a publication date roughly ten months before this check, so its details may be out of date; the Gamer Guides overview was last updated 2025-11-28, and the Winds Meet Guide page was checked 2026-07-25 (Game8; Gamer Guides).
