For a shared outfit code, enter it inside the Roblox experience that supports it—not in Roblox settings or the standard Avatar Editor. In Catalog Avatar Creator, open Community Outfits, choose a category, then enter the code in the Outfit Code box and confirm.
Enter a shared outfit code in Catalog Avatar Creator
- Join the Catalog Avatar Creator experience.
- Open Community Outfits.
- Choose a category, such as a popular or featured list.
- Enter the shared code in the Outfit Code box, shown near the lower-left of the interface in the documented guide, and confirm as prompted. Menu placement or labels may change.
- View the loaded look in the experience.
Loading a community outfit shows its look; it does not necessarily grant ownership of every catalog item used in it. The guide says you may need to purchase underlying assets to save or add them to your Roblox account. The same guide describes a separate Catalog input for individual item links, which is not the community outfit-code box: Catalog Avatar Creator guide.
Make sure you have the right kind of code

Why an outfit code may not work
- Check where the code is meant to be used. Catalog Avatar Creator outfit codes, Roblox promo codes and toy or virtual-item codes use different entry points.
- Check the field. In Catalog Avatar Creator, use the Outfit Code box for a shared outfit, not the separate input for catalog item links.
- Re-enter the code and confirm it. Follow the experience’s prompt; its menus and labels can change.
- For a promo or toy code, use Roblox redemption instead. Make sure you are signed into the intended account. Promo codes that have expired cannot be redeemed; if an item code was already redeemed, check the matching inventory category.
Outfit code formats vary by experience
Roblox does not have one universal outfit-code field or format. The official listing for y2k Outfits, for example, describes outfit sharing with a four-digit code for that experience specifically. Use the instructions for the experience that issued the code.
