If you’re new to Terminull Brigade and want a flexible, uncomplicated first pick, try Colonel. A June 2025 third-party character guide describes him as an accessible all-rounder who can deal damage and support teammates. If helping the team is your priority, consider Max instead. These are playstyle-based suggestions, not an official ranking or a guarantee of who is strongest now.
Choose by the way you want to fight
The same June 2025 guide describes the characters in terms of roles and combat styles. Use those descriptions to narrow your choice to what sounds enjoyable; they are qualitative guidance, not measured performance results. TheGamer’s character guide is the source for the role descriptions below.
| Character | Described role or appeal | May suit you if you… |
|---|---|---|
| Colonel | Accessible all-rounder, with damage and team support | Want a flexible start without committing to a specialized style |
| Max | Hybrid support and tank who can also deal damage | Want to help teammates and favor survivability |
| Blade | Aggressive melee attacker | Enjoy getting close to enemies and staying mobile |
| Aurora | Mobility, crowd control, and setting up combos | Like grouping or controlling enemies and creating openings |
| Gloria | Defensive support focused on holding ground | Prefer defensive utility and team support |
| Heynckes | Consistent damage, particularly against grouped enemies | Prefer mid-range damage and controlling enemy groups |
Why Colonel is a practical first pick
The guide’s case for Colonel is about accessibility and flexibility: it describes simple lock-on attacks, a protective shield, and an area-targeted ultimate. Those features give a newcomer a way to contribute damage while also offering team utility. Treat this as a beginner-oriented recommendation from a third-party guide, not proof that Colonel is the easiest character for every player or the best-performing character in the current game.
When to pick Max instead
Choose Max if your idea of a satisfying run includes helping teammates while still contributing damage. The guide characterizes him as a support-and-tank hybrid, making him the alternative to consider when team support and survivability matter more to you than Colonel’s all-rounder appeal.

What the recommendation does not establish
There is no basis here for calling any character the current strongest pick. The reviewed material does not provide an authoritative, up-to-date comparison, verified tier list, or attributable character statistics such as win rates, damage rankings, or pick rates.
Roster and seasonal details can change. The official website’s indexed character section lists Blade, Aurora, Heynckes, Max, Gloria, and Colonel; later official Steam announcements mention new Rogueteers Diana and Rebela. That is not a complete live roster or confirmation of current availability. Check the character selection and unlock information in the game itself before relying on an older roster list. Official announcements also document seasonal changes, including a season transition in which seasonal gameplay progress reset while unlocked Rogueteers and other named items carried over; that notice describes that transition, not a universal promise about current unlock rules.
