Hold onto an item if an unfinished quest, recipe, workshop upgrade, or Expedition Project needs it. If it has no current use, compare its vendor value with the materials in the in-game recycle preview, then weigh stash space, extraction risk, and how hard it would be to find again. There is no permanent safe-to-sell list: your needs and item values can change as you progress and the game is updated.
Check your current goals before selling or recycling
Start with the item’s in-game details and your active requirements. Look for it in unfinished quests, crafting recipes, workshop upgrades, and Expedition Projects. If one of those needs it, keep enough to meet the remaining quantity; having a use for an item does not mean you need to retain every extra copy.
Progression materials and ARC enemy components can become bottlenecks. A July 19, 2026 GamesRecon guide lists Leaper Pulse Units, Hornet Drivers, Wasp Drivers, Rocketeer Drivers, Snitch Scanners, Surveyor Vaults, Sentinel Firing Cores, and Tick Pods as examples connected to quests or workshop progression. It also names ARC Alloy, electrical and mechanical components, sensors, batteries, durable cloth, springs, wires, oil, and base parts as useful materials. These are examples, not a universal checklist: verify what your own unfinished goals require.
When an item has no active use, compare selling with recycling
Check the current vendor sale value and the materials shown in the game’s recycle preview. Sell when coins are more useful to you or the returned materials are already plentiful. Recycle when those materials help with a goal you are pursuing. The live preview is more useful for this decision than an outside estimate, since values and uses can change.

Rarity alone is not a reliable rule. A rare item without a current use may be less valuable to your next step than a common material you need, while an apparently ordinary item may be worth keeping if a project calls for it. For example, ARCList identifies ARC Alloy with crafting and workshop needs, ARC Circuitry with Medium Shield and Power Rod crafting, and Advanced Electrical Components with several crafting uses. These are unofficial database leads; check the item’s current in-game uses before acting.
Decide whether the item is worth carrying
Keeping an item in the stash is different from taking it on a raid. A low-priority pickup may not be worth a backpack slot, a dangerous detour, or the risk of losing more important loot if you fail to extract. Consider what you already have, what you still need, and whether carrying the item makes your immediate objective harder.

- Progression: Does an unfinished quest, recipe, upgrade, or project need it?
- Return: Would coins or the previewed materials help more right now?
- Space: Is this item a better use of the slot than other loot or supplies?
- Risk and access: Is it worth carrying through the raid, and is there a reason to wait until you are back at Speranza to process it?
- Reacquisition: If you part with it, how costly or uncertain would it be to find another?
Be cautious about processing items during a raid
Community references say raid recycling or salvaging can return fewer or lower-quality materials than processing at Speranza. That comparison is not confirmed here by an accessible official help page, so do not rely on it as a guaranteed rule. Read the in-game preview before confirming a recycle action, especially when the item or materials matter to a current goal.

Third-party lists can help you spot a possible use, but they may be dated, unofficial, or tailored to a different point in progression. ARCList’s labels and the examples in the July 2026 GamesRecon guide are useful starting points, not final authority. Recheck your own requirements and the item details after patches or when your goals change. Fan-made stash advice may also suggest fixed thresholds or priorities; those are recommendations, not official inventory rules.
