Take the Jarwight Puppet if you may eventually want both summons: buying the one you leave behind costs three Starlight Shards, compared with two for Finger Maiden Therolina. Choosing Jarwight free saves one additional shard. Pick Therolina instead if you specifically want a healing-oriented summon or prefer her character and lore.
How the free choice works
Seluvis offers one free puppet from the initial choice between Finger Maiden Therolina and Jarwight. Both are Spirit Ashes obtained through Seluvis’s secret puppet workshop at Three Sisters, and both can be upgraded with Ghost Gloveworts. The other option can be bought later with Starlight Shards.

Which puppet fits your priorities?
Choose Jarwight to save more shards
If you want the option to collect both, take Jarwight as the free puppet and pay two shards for Therolina later. Reversing the choice means paying three shards for Jarwight. This is a resource-saving choice, not evidence that Jarwight is universally stronger.
Choose Therolina for healing support or character preference
Therolina is the more fitting choice if you want her healing-oriented support, value Holy attacks against Those Who Live in Death, or simply prefer her character. Her support has a practical limitation: the item reference says she may fail to keep pace with the player when healing.

Choose based on what you enjoy using
Jarwight’s pot variety gives him a distinct, unpredictable attack style; Therolina offers healing and Holy Water Pots. Neither is established as the best summon for every build or encounter, so the resource difference is the clearest general basis for deciding.
The free choice is not Seluvis’s whole puppet roster
Other puppets have separate quest conditions. Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet is connected to the potion route involving Nepheli Loux, and her listed purchase price is five Starlight Shards. Availability of other puppets can depend on your route and progression. If you are aiming for a specific later puppet, check the full Seluvis quest sequence before advancing Ranni’s quest.
