Receiving the drop is open to any character that can enter the raid, while the Feat of Strength requires both original weapons equipped on a single eligible class, and the Arsenal appearance is limited to Demon Hunters.
Three separate outcomes
Players asking about the Warglaives are usually asking one of three questions. Each has a different answer, so it helps to check them one at a time.

Why a non-Demon Hunter can loot them
Blizzard Support explains that legacy loot rules apply when a character enters a raid or dungeon at the minimum character level required for that expansion. In practice, that system is why a character that cannot use an item can still receive it as loot. This is a general description of how legacy loot works. It does not guarantee that every class-specific condition is removed in every version or every mode, so a drop from a particular raid session should be read as a loot result, not as proof that the item is usable by that class.
That is why the common question “why would I get something I can’t use?” has a straightforward answer. The drop roll and the equip restriction are handled separately.

Equipping both weapons for the Feat of Strength
The achievement requires both original main-hand and off-hand Warglaives to be equipped on the same character at the same time. Player guidance lists the classes that can equip both as:
- Warrior
- Rogue
- Death Knight
- Monk
- Demon Hunter
Because this list comes from community posts rather than an official item database or patch note, treat it as the working class list and check the item’s in-game tooltip on your character before farming for the pair. Spec-specific limits were not established by the sources, so do not assume a particular specialization is excluded.

Unlocking the Arsenal transmog
The Arsenal appearance is a separate reward and is restricted to Demon Hunters. Player guidance describes the unlock sequence as follows:
- Obtain the Feat of Strength by equipping both original Warglaives on one character.
- On a Demon Hunter, defeat Illidan in the Black Temple Timewalking raid.
- Confirm in the game that the Arsenal appearance is unlocked before relying on it for a transmog set.
Timewalking raids are limited-time events, so confirm that Black Temple Timewalking is currently active before planning a run. The sequence above is community-reported and may change with future updates.

What the sources do and do not establish
The legacy loot context comes from Blizzard Support. The exact class list for the Feat of Strength and the Arsenal unlock sequence come from player posts on Blizzard-hosted World of Warcraft forums, not from an official item database or current patch notes. No official numerical figures or direct official statements on the Warglaives were found in the material reviewed, so the class lists and unlock steps should be treated as practical guidance rather than confirmed design rules.
If you are checking a specific character, the most reliable test is the one in the game client: see whether both weapons can be equipped together, and whether the Arsenal appearance appears in your transmog collection after the unlock.
