Yes. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. GSC Game World announced the PS5 launch for November 20, 2025, and described it as arriving “exactly one year after its original launch.” As of October 2026, the PS5 version is not an upcoming release. It has been playable for nearly a year.
When the PS5 version launched
GSC Game World’s PS5 launch announcement, dated November 20, 2025, names both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro as available platforms. The sentence the developer uses is: “We are pleased to share that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on PlayStation 5® and PlayStation 5 Pro®, exactly one year after its original launch.” The announcement gives a calendar date only. It does not give a regional rollout schedule, so treat November 20, 2025 as the developer’s stated launch date.

What the PS5 version supports
The developer’s PS5 feature trailer and pre-order page and the launch announcement list the following console features for the PS5 version:
- Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on the DualSense controller
- Gyro aiming through the controller’s motion sensors
- Speaker, lightbar, and touchpad features
- Tempest 3D Audio
- Trophy support
These are the feature names the developer publishes. The announcements do not explain how each one is implemented in the game or whether individual features can be switched off.

PS5 versus PS5 Pro
The main difference the developer draws between the two consoles is visual. The PS5 Pro entry lists a separate set of rendering improvements. The table below shows only what the launch announcement names for each console.

The Pro items are the developer’s own descriptions of what the console version does. They are not measured results, and the announcement does not quantify how much better any of them look or run.

Physical PS5 edition and regional availability
A physical PS5 edition was also announced. The developer’s Ukrainian-language announcement is titled as a standard physical edition and says the Day One Edition would be available starting November 20, 2025. It directs buyers to official retailers and cautions that not all regions may be represented.
Before you buy a physical copy:
- Check the developer’s announcement for the retailers it lists for your country.
- Confirm the retailer’s listing names PlayStation 5 and the edition you want.
- Check price and stock with the retailer directly. The developer’s announcement does not establish either.
Post-launch content on PS5
- Stories Untold: a free content update that the developer announced as available on PS5 in December 2025. See the Stories Untold announcement.

What the official sources do not establish
- Current retail price, stock levels, or the status of any retailer listing for the physical edition.
- Frame rates, resolution targets, or independently tested performance on PS5 or PS5 Pro. None are published in the announcements.
- Any claim that the PS5 version matches other platforms in performance or features.
- A named individual behind the statements. The announcements are issued under GSC Game World as publisher, with no speaker attributed.
For the core question, the answer does not depend on any of these points: the game is on PS5 and PS5 Pro, and it has been since November 20, 2025.
