The sale has ended. The discounts and prices below are a historical record of what contemporary reports said, not offers you can claim today.
What the sale was and when it ran
Pure Xbox reported on December 10, 2024 that the promotion included more than 100 games. It said most listed offers were expected to last at least through December 12, 2024. The “more than 100 games” figure is the outlet’s own count, not an independently verified number, and the end date was an expectation reported at the time rather than a fixed cutoff.

Reported discounts on the headline games
Two December 2024 reports supply the figures. Pure Xbox published percentage discounts. MobileSyrup, on December 9, 2024, published U.S. sale and regular prices for a separate set of games. The table combines both. The “implied discount” column is calculated from MobileSyrup’s own prices; neither outlet stated it.
| Game | Discount reported by Pure Xbox (December 2024) | U.S. sale price (MobileSyrup, December 9, 2024) | U.S. regular price (MobileSyrup) | Implied discount from MobileSyrup prices |

| Dragon Age: The Veilguard | 30% off | $62.99 | $89.99 | About 30% |
| Dragon’s Dogma 2 | 45% off | $56.99 | $94.99 | About 40% |
| Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth | 50% off | Not stated | Not stated | Not calculable |
| NBA 2K25 Tournament Edition | 55% off | Not stated | Not stated | Not calculable |
| Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 – Gold | 25% off | Not stated | Not stated | Not calculable |

The discounts in the Pure Xbox column ranged from 25% for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 – Gold to 55% for NBA 2K25 Tournament Edition. The MobileSyrup prices are U.S. figures only; the sources do not state regional pricing for the other territories.

Why the two reports do not fully agree
Dragon Age: The Veilguard matches across both reports: a 30% discount on an $89.99 regular price gives $62.99. Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not. Pure Xbox listed 45% off, while MobileSyrup’s $56.99 against a $94.99 regular price works out to about 40% off. Neither report explains the gap, and the sources do not say whether it reflects a different edition, region or capture date. Treat the two figures as separately reported rather than reconciled.
How to judge a sale like this
A high percentage does not by itself show a good purchase. Before acting on any listed discount, check the following:

- Edition. Several entries name specific versions, such as NBA 2K25 Tournament Edition and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 – Gold. Confirm which edition the price applies to, because the reports do not compare editions’ contents.
- Platform. Confirm the listing supports your console before buying.
- Regular price. The discount is measured against the regular price shown at that moment. Check the current base price for the same edition.
- Timing. A reader commenting on Pure Xbox’s story was weighing whether to buy Dragon Age: The Veilguard during the sale or wait for a larger promotion on Xbox or PlayStation 5. Whether a sale is worth taking depends on that trade-off, and no outlet in these reports ranks the games’ value against each other.
Checking whether a game is discounted today
The sale ended in December 2024, and neither report is a current store listing. To check a game now, open its page in the Microsoft Store or the Xbox app and compare the displayed price with the regular price shown on that same page. Prices reported here will not match current listings.

The sale coverage concerns digital games, and no physical product was reported as discounted. If you need a controller, Microsoft’s official Xbox Wireless Controller page lists compatibility with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Check that page for compatibility before buying; nothing in these reports indicates Xbox discounted controllers.
