The coordinates for his location are /way 62.6 12.6. That answer applies to Wrath Classic only. In later versions of the game, Rogue poisons work differently, so check your version before you go looking for him.
Which answer applies to your version
Poison availability depends on the game version. The table below separates the three contexts that the available sources cover.
| Context | Where poisons come from | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Dalaran | Alchemist Cinesra, Black Market area of the Dalaran Underbelly; coordinates /way 62.6 12.6 | Wowhead’s Wrath Classic Dalaran city guide (secondary guide). Wowpedia’s vendor listing lists the same NPC and location as historical corroboration. |
| Patch 5.0.4 and later | Rogue poisons are spellbook abilities that apply to both weapons at once. The current official Rogue class page does not identify a Dalaran vendor. | Blizzard’s Patch 5.0.4 Survival Guide (2012) and Blizzard’s current Rogue class page |
| Darnassus (Classic) | Kyrai, at the Rogue Guild Tree. This is a different city and not a Dalaran answer. | Blizzard’s Classic Darnassus guide |
Finding Alchemist Cinesra in Wrath of the Lich King Classic
- Travel to Dalaran on a Wrath of the Lich King Classic character.
- Enter the Dalaran Underbelly, the sewer area under the city. Wowhead’s guide describes the poison vendor as being in the sewers.
- Look for the Black Market area inside the Underbelly.
- Find Alchemist Cinesra, the poison vendor, in that area.
- Optional: if your client supports the waypoint command, enter
/way 62.6 12.6to place a marker at the stated coordinates. If the command does not work in your client, locate the Black Market area by sight.
Why the answer changes in later versions
Blizzard’s Patch 5.0.4 Survival Guide, published in 2012, changed how Rogue poisons work. The guide’s own wording is: “Poisons are now spellbook abilities that affect both weapons at once.” Once that change applies, the Wrath-era vendor is no longer the way to get poisons, so a player on a later version should open the spellbook and look for the poison abilities rather than searching for a vendor.
Wowpedia’s vendor listing for Alchemist Cinesra also notes that the vendor’s role was removed in Patch 5.0.4. That lines up with Blizzard’s change and explains why the Wrath-era location does not carry over.

What the sources establish and where they stop
- Established for Wrath of the Lich King Classic: the Dalaran poison vendor is Alchemist Cinesra, in the Black Market area of the Underbelly, with the coordinates given above.
- Established for later versions: Blizzard says Rogue poisons became spellbook abilities in Patch 5.0.4.
- Not established: an equivalent current retail vendor in Dalaran. The sources reviewed do not confirm one, so do not assume that Cinesra or a similar NPC exists outside Wrath Classic.
- Source strength: the Wrath location comes from a secondary city guide, and Wowpedia serves as historical corroboration. Blizzard’s official material is the primary source for the later spellbook change.
City guides can list different poison vendors for different cities. Kyrai in Darnassus is one example, and that placement does not tell you anything about Dalaran.
