Its current Google Play listing describes it as a third-person shooter and battle-royale game, and the combination of fast construction and gunplay is what separates it from a conventional shooter. It is not League of Legends; the name is the only overlap.
The core loop: building while you shoot
Every fight mixes aiming with construction. Players place structures during a match, and placement becomes part of how they move, defend and attack, rather than a separate activity done before the action starts. The store description points to this mechanic first, and it is the main reason the game is usually described as a build-and-shoot hybrid.
In practical terms, a player who is under fire can wall off a line of sight, build upward for height, or cut off an opponent’s route, and the opponent has to respond to the structure as well as to the shooter. The store copy describes the mechanic in general terms and does not publish tactics or measured outcomes, so treat these as descriptions of the design rather than proven advantages.
Modes: from one-on-one to battle royale
The head-to-head duel is the format the game is best known for, but it is not the only one. The current Google Play listing names the following modes, and the table shows how they differ on the points that matter most to a new player.

The duel suits players who want a quick round with a clear result. Duos and battle royale add more players and more objectives, which changes the pace and the amount of ground to cover.
Why the building mechanic matters
Building-focused play
This is the version that defines the game. Because construction is available during combat, a fight is less about who aims better in isolation and more about who uses the terrain they create. That is the difference readers usually notice first when they compare it with a standard shooter.

Zero Builds
Zero Builds removes construction entirely, so the contest returns to shooting and character abilities. It is the clearest way to see what the building layer adds: remove it, and the game plays more like a conventional third-person shooter. Players who prefer a more traditional fight can start here, while those who want the signature loop should choose the building modes.
Platforms and where to get it
- Android and Windows: The current Google Play listing, updated September 12, 2026, identifies these platforms. An older Google Play listing that names JustPlay.LOL as developer also lists Android and Windows.
- Browser: A Chrome Web Store listing, version 1.0.5 and updated September 19, 2024, describes browser-based shooting and building gameplay. A second Chrome Web Store listing, titled 1v1.LOL, also describes browser gameplay.
- Official status: A Chrome listing is not proof that every extension with a similar name is official. The Chrome listing links to 1v1lol.org, but the available evidence does not establish who owns that domain or how it relates to the publisher.
- Mirrors: Avoid third-party “unblocked” copies. Use the verified store page or the developer’s own destination.
- Feature parity: Store descriptions do not provide a complete platform-by-platform feature list, so do not assume every mode, control scheme or progression system is identical on each platform.
Cost, ads and purchases
- The current Google Play listing says players do not need to pay to download and play.
- The listing describes advertising and optional in-app purchases.
- Optional purchases include virtual items, and the listing states that random items may be bought.
- Play and social features require an internet connection, according to the listing.
The game is therefore free to start, but it is not free of monetization. Check the purchase disclosures on the current store page before deciding how much to spend.

The current listing’s data-safety panel says the developer reports that the app may collect device or other IDs, and that data is not encrypted. These are developer-provided store disclosures, and they may vary by version or region. Readers who care about data handling should read the panel on the store page they install from.

Popularity figures, read carefully
- 50M+ downloads: This is the download bracket shown on the current Google Play listing, accessed October 8, 2026. It is a download range, not an active-player count, and it does not indicate concurrent players or revenue.
- “Over 80 million players”: This phrase appears on the separate JustPlay.LOL Google Play listing, which was updated June 3, 2025. It is a promotional claim from that listing, not an independently verified user count, and it is not directly comparable to the current download bracket.
What to check before you play
- The mode lineup and daily or limited-time events. These rotate, so check the live store page for what is currently available.
- The platform you plan to use, since Android, Windows and browser versions are described in different listings.
- The age rating and purchase disclosures on the store page you install from.
- The developer name on the listing, so you can tell the current listing apart from the older JustPlay.LOL entry.
