When did Nuketown come to Black Ops 6?
Call of Duty announced on October 29, 2024, that the classic Nuketown map would arrive in Black Ops 6 on November 1. The map was part of the game’s first post-launch content drop, which also introduced Infected. It was not included among the initial launch maps. Call of Duty’s announcement gave the date but no release hour or time zone.

Was Nuketown part of Season 01?
No. Nuketown’s release date was November 1, while Season 01 was scheduled to begin November 14, 2024. The dates refer to separate content events; Nuketown arrived thirteen days before the season began.
Which Nuketown map was added?
The release brought back the original 1950s Nevada testing-site version of Nuketown, an homage to the map first encountered in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Treyarch veteran map designer Adam Hoggatt built the remastered version. Call of Duty said it retained the original three-lane layout, including the placement of vehicles and scenery, while improving the graphics. Hoggatt described the aim as bringing back “the original Nuketown exactly as you remember it but looking better than ever!”

How it differs from other maps mentioned with the update
The announcement also referred to Warhead and Area 99, but they are different maps for different modes: Warhead is a Strike map, while Area 99 is a Warzone Resurgence map. Nuketown is the Multiplayer map.
