You don’t earn points or rewards by holding it. You give it to another player’s work to show your support. The vote is cast from the event’s Show of Splendor screen, and the route to it runs through the All as One activity.
What the Neon Flag does
The Neon Flag is a vote on a player submission, not a map marker, a currency, or a general social gesture. Players in the Spring Festival event display works in a ranking, and each Neon Flag you offer counts as your support for one of them. The only interaction described in the available guide is the offer itself: you browse, pick a work, and give a flag.

The guide that documents this route is a Nerd’s Chalk walkthrough, last updated February 7, 2026, at https://nerdschalk.com/where-winds-meet-neon-flag/. It is secondary reporting, not an official event announcement from the publisher, so treat its menu labels as the best available description rather than a guaranteed match for every version of the game.
How to cast a Neon Flag vote
The route below is the one reported in the February 2026 guide. Menu names can change between updates, so if a label is missing, return to the Events tab and look for the Spring Festival banner.
- Open the Events tab in the main interface.
- Select Spring Festival.
- Choose All as One.
- Open Show of Splendor.
- Switch to the Rank tab to browse player submissions.
- Select a work you want to support and offer a Neon Flag. The offer is the vote; there is no separate confirmation step described in the guide.
Community reports you should treat as unverified
A February 2026 Reddit discussion in r/wherewindsmeet_ asks the same question players ask in the event itself, “What is a Neon Flag?”, and gives similar navigation steps (https://www.reddit.com/r/wherewindsmeet_/comments/1qy1zt4/what_is_a_neon_flag/). The thread is useful for confirming that the confusion is widespread, but it is not an official source.

Commenters in that thread also say event quests award flags, including a quest tab they refer to as “Obtain Nijing.” No official event source I could confirm names that tab or describes the reward, so do not rely on it as a way to get flags. If you cannot find a quest that grants them, the Rank-tab vote still works as described above.
What is and is not established
- Established by the guide: the Neon Flag is offered to another player’s work from the Rank tab in Show of Splendor, inside the All as One activity.
- Not established: whether the event is still running today. The guide and the community thread both date to February 2026, and this article cannot confirm current availability as of October 2026. Check the Events tab in the game for the current event period.
- Not established: whether menu labels, reward paths, or availability differ by platform or region. Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play title on iOS and Android with cross-play and cross-progression, according to NetEase Games’ December 12, 2025 press release (https://ir.netease.com/zh-hans/node/15196/pdf). That release covers the game’s platforms and launch, not the Spring Festival event or the Neon Flag.
- Not established: any official limit on how many flags you can offer. Do not plan around a specific daily cap.
If you cannot find the event
If the Spring Festival entry or the Show of Splendor screen does not appear, the event has most likely ended or has not reopened for your account. The guide and the community discussion both predate October 2026, so the missing menu is the most useful signal you have. Check the Events tab for a current seasonal banner before looking for another route to the vote.
The Neon Flag is an in-game item, so no outside purchase, accessory, or external tool is needed to use it.

For the event’s game-specific context, the NetEase press release is the most reliable official source in this set, but it does not document the Neon Flag itself. Use the in-game Events tab as the authority on what is currently live.
